“A pleasant surprise”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 23, 2012

The driveway entrance is a little difficult to get into. It is best to go past it and turn around in the gas station that is adjacent. It had everything we could want, was clean, comfortable, and even had a feather pillow available for my wife, who really appreciated that touch. Staff super friendly. Beautiful grounds in courtyard. Fine breakfast. Was close to restaurants. This was our first stop in a two-week road trip, and it was a great start.

We stayed here overnight, using one of the Welcome Center magazine coupons that gave us a great rate. Our room was very nice, roomy and clean, with comfortable pillows and an above average bed. The breakfast buffet had hot food and was very extensive, well above the average free hotel breakfast. Our experience was positive here. There was a pool and a restaurant/bar, but we did not use either.

We stayed in Clarksville while on our way traveling to Panama City, Florida. The hotel is older but for the price it is okay. It has easy access off the road and check in was easy. The breakfast is included in the price and it was a full buffet with a waitress that was very helpful and nice.

Room Tip: No elevators and only two floors to the whole place. Parking was packed.

When we arrived ,we had to wait 5 minutes while Rebecca at the front desk, was on the phone talking about an employee that was let go that day. She carried on and on about it. She was also talking about how she had to work all the time. Finally after finally understanding why we were taping on the counter did she get off the phone. The waitress/hostess in the resturant was GREAT! She was busy but was pleasant with everyone she took care of at breakfast. She was the type of person that should have been at the front desk.
The hotel itself was really in great shape. We enjoyed our room and the breakfast buffet was good also.

I chose this hotel based on the reviews even though it added a little bit of commute time; my business while visiting was at Ft Campbell. I obviously cannot compare it to the hotels that were right outside the gate as I have never stayed at them, but I do not regret my decision. The hotel is very conveniently located off the highway exit, the staff helpful and friendly, the rooms clean and comfortable, and there are many places to eat or shop in very close proximity. regarding the commute, it was quite painless and took me only 20 minutes or so to get to Gate 7 and on to Campbell Army Airfield.

The breakfast buffet is quite good, better than many hotels I have stayed at. I would say this alone subtracts $10-$15 off the room price as you can get a good breakfast and not need go anywhere else. They have enough variety: from your basic bacon, eggs, potatoes, and waffles; to more healthy choices such as fruit, oatmeal, and yogurt; to ensure everyone gets something to eat. And the buffet hours, 6-10, provide ample time to get there.

The bed and pillows were quite comfortable and everything was clean. Parking was ample and the area was well lit and seemed safe. Every manner of eating establishment was within a mile as was a shopping mall, Walmart, and a large chain grocery store (can't recall the name). There was a small exercise room with 2 treadmills and 2 elliptical machines. There was also a sauna, hot tub, and small pool right within the lobby. Nice. A larger pool (not real big, but adequate for some relaxing) was outside but closed while I was there. I did not eat at the restaurant so I cannot comment on their food, but it is available as well.

If I am back in the area, this hotel will certainly be at the top of my list.

I stayed here for five nights for business in early March 2012. The outside is a little worn, but the rooms are fairly nice with new furnishings. Two particularly good features are the bar and breakfast buffet. Happy hour every day from 5-7pm with $1.25 drafts and the convenience of walking from your room. Plenty of tables and chairs for lounging, talking, and conducting business. Food is better than average and not bad for a hotel (at there 3 of 5 nights). Breakfast is a full buffet with plenty of diversity and something for everyone.

I did not try the indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, or exercise room, but they looked fine.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. No problems with safety of noise from other guests.

The worst part of this hotel is the entrance/exit situation. It is right off a busy road and traffic backs up on the side street, often blocking the entrance.

Easy to access from the interstate. A bit tricky to find the actual entrance to the hotel, but it's not too hard. Clean, comfortable room. We had both dinner and breakfast there, both of which were very good. Hot tub and sauna were fine. Swimming pool was a llittle bit warm, but not bad. Very friendly staff.

Room Tip: Our room faced the inner courtyard, so it was nice and quiet.
