I have eaten at Foodworks several times. For dinner, it has always been good, but just not great. They have a nice menu and a good casual atmosphere. The service varies from server to server. I have had the brunch on one occasion and would rate a 5 for brunch. This food (specifically the chicken and waffles) was excellent. And, with $1 Champagne and Mimosa's on the brunch menu, you can't beat it.

Every month our group of friends gather to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, etc. As we have 10-12 we need a place large enough for seating but small enough where we can hear what's going on. Plus we like a cocktail and good food.

Food Works North Shore location makes it easy for most of us to get there, they have ample parking and the ambiance of an old mill adds to the restaurant. They seated us upstairs to give us room & privacy (as well as allowing us to celebrate without disturbing other diners).

Our server was attentive, informative and efficient. She handled drink, appetizers and entrees (plus a couple of to go orders) with perfect timing.

Our food was good, and as there were enough of us, we tried all the menu options. They also have a gluten free menu (ask the hostess or your server).

If you're looking for a romantic hideaway restaurant, this isn't it. But if you want a good meal in a historic old building with room to meet friends or coworkers this is the place.

Does the food stand out among other local restaurants; no, but you always know what you're getting, and the menu hasn't changed in years. We go more for the space and location rather tgan to challenge our palate.

The restaurant is in a great location and the atmosphere is good. I especially love eating on their outside deck in nice weather. The food is very good. I especially love the salads and the Ahi Tuna appetizer. Plus, $1 mimosas on Sundays! I've never had bad service or a bad meal hear.

My 13 year old grandson chose Foodworks for our special day together during his Spring Break. We had eaten there before so we knew we could count on great food, wonderful atmosphere, and efficient service and we were not disappointed.

We have eaten here a couple of times and have had excellent food and service. The first time we ate at a table in the dining room; this time we at the bar so we could watch the basketball game. Both times the food was delicious. The horseradish encrusted salmon with garlic mashed potatoes was the best I've ever eaten. My husband's steak was cooked perfectly. The environment is friendly and comfortable. Service is great.
