“Expensive breakfast”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 16, 2013

We ate breakfast here and it was good, but not for the price. The service was a little slow and the room was too warm.

“Comfortable and Delish!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 31, 2013

We ate dinner and breakfast at Porter's during a stay at the Read House Sheraton (the restaurant is connected to the first floor of the hotel, although there is a separate entrance to patrons not staying at the Sheraton).
The restaurant is tastefully decorated and feels comfortable but without sacrificing class in the decor. We dined with our two small children and didn't feel out of place, although this could definitely work for an intimate dinner date as well.
The service was great, friendly and attentive. The menu had several options for all of us. The breakfast menu was especially inventive with several out of the ordinary offerings.
The price is right where you expect a steakhouse to be, definitely not over or underpriced. All in all I highly recommend if you're in the area to stop for a bite.

“Great Steak Quality”

When you come from Germany, like me, you will be more than impressed about the quality of the beef. Our steak was more than perfect.

“Anniversary Destination”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2013

My husband have been to Porter's several times to celebrate for different special events. This Trip was for our 15th Wedding Anniversary; the service was a breath of fresh air. These days you just never know what type of service you will receive especially at your nicer restaurants. ( not sure why that is ). Byron was our server and his recommendations were right on. We both had the signature peppercorn blend filet; the best steak in-town.
It is a little pricey for your average out to dinner night, but totally worth it nights when you are celebrating!
The Ravenswood Red Zin, was a perfect match with our dinner.

My husband an I went to dinner at Porters this evening. Price for dinner was average food was the worse I have ever had. It cost us 120 which is average. Don't waste your money. The ribeye was awful.I can't wait till Ruth Chris opens next month. I would never eat here again.
