“Always stay here in Chattanooga, love this hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2011

Love the Staybridge in Chattanooga. It's in a great location, convenient for shopping, plus it's only a short drive to downtown. The staff is always super nice and checking in or out is a breeze, never any hassle. The rooms (entire hotel for that matter) are always clean and comfortable, and their breakfast is awesome. This is a hotel that definitely caters to it's guests. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay in Chattanooga, can't say enough good things about it!

We stayed at this location because it recieved good reviews. The lobby was tastefully decorated, with 24 hour complementory coffee and cookies. There was a convenience "store" for small items, and check-in was very easy. We had originally reserved a two bedroom suite. However the manager e-mailed me a few days before and asked if I would switch to a smaller room, because there were homeless families from the recent tornadoes still there. The two replacement rooms were more than adequate for our needs-clean and well decorated. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was great! Our lady friend raved about the breakfast casserole and even asked for the recipe. Since the hotel is just across I -75 from the mall, there are plenty of restaurant choices in a very short distance.
Two very minor downsides to our experience: I had no clue before our stay that there is no housekeeping on weekends, unless specially requested; and also, the housekeeper had forgotten to clean the coffeepot in one of our rooms. I ultimately did not ask for housekeeping and it was kind of nice not having the maid rumbling up and down the hall Saturday and Sunday morning. However, about the coffeepot--we all know there were people in the room before us. We just don't like to be reminded of it.
These minor annoyances would not stop me from returning to this location.

Room Tip: Ask about maid service if this is important to you

Booked this hotel on Priceline and was pleasantly surprised by the Staybridge brand. The room is equipped with a queen bed, sofa, desk, and full kitchenette. The layout of the suite is particularly efficient and the decorating is harmonious. Very clean and comfortable room. There is a flat-panel TV and DVD player. Complementary breakfast is especially plentiful in quantity and choices. Front desk staff was polite and efficient. This hotel is convenient to I-75 and to numerous retail and food choices.

We were traveling during spring break from Florida to Michigan. I made several reservations for hotel stays long the way, all convenient to I-75. All other reservations I made, I could cancel the same day if cancelled before 6pm. On our way home from Florida, we determined early in the day we would not be able to stay at Staybridge due to travel conditions. We called to cancel our reservations around noon that day and for a one night reservation, they charged us one nights stay as a cancellation fee. Even though the hotel was filled to capacity.... And probably rented our room after we cancelled. HORRIBLE experience and will never stay at another Staybridge suite again. We talked to two customer service representatives and even the manager. They had the opportunity to make this right and chose not to. Truly disappointed

With a west wind and abundant rain, a water leak awakened me as a drip fell on expensive furniture and a TV set. Soaking up the water with towels, we knew that only at dawn could the leak's source be determined. We reported the leak to the desk, accompanied the maintenance man to the room, as I felt sympathy for the owner who obviously had a relatively new investment.
At 8:30 AM the breakfast buffet ran out of hot food, regular coffee, and eggs. The night before the paper tickets for complimentary drinks only consisted of beer or cold beverages from a dispenser.
I was somewhat embarassed for the owner, whoever he might be. As I drove away, I was relieved that I did not have part ownership in the operation.

Stayed here for two nights in a 1 bedroom with 2 double beds. What they've basically done here is take a standard, albeit large, hotel room and turn it into two rooms. You do have a decent little kitchen and a sitting room, but there is a lot of furniture stuffed into this sitting room and not much room to move about, not to mention no good place to stash your suitcases. This hotel is marketed at the single business traveler and works great for solo travelers or even couples but if you're a family looking for extra room to spread out, you may be a little disappointed. That said, having two rooms (and two tv's) is nice regardless.

My other downside, which is my fault for not researching better, is that the location isn't really ideal for visiting downtown or the Lookout Mountain attractions. It isn't far-about 15 minutes-but requires jumping back on 75, 27, and 24 which can be nightmarish depending on what time of day you're on the road. If I had to do it again I'd book downtown or on the other side of town.

Upsides? Very clean, very fresh looking and up to date. Staff was exceptional. Breakfast was excellent. We were there during mid-week so also got "happy hour"-light dinner, snacks, sodas and beer-while the food was not anything great it was enough to tide us over the one night and saved us money over eating out one meal (and on drinks!). Close to a good shopping mall and plenty of dining options within driving or even walking distance. Safe area and convenient to highways. Comfortable great room with library and games. Comfortable beds with fabulous pillows. Great, free wifi. Pool was a decent size and good temperature-ditto on the hot tub. Our room was very quiet and the rate we paid, especially with my AAA discount, was more than fair. I would have no qualms about staying here again.

I have not stayed in Chattanooga for more than 25 years and was pleasantly surprised by the area of this hotel and the nice suite. The staff was nice, room was cute, and comfortable. They had free laundry facilities. There were only two things that could be better the first is the pool is small (not crowed during our stay) there are only 4 chairs beside the pool. Next they do not offer room cleaning the weekends BUT they will give you fresh towels. I will probably stay here again if in the area!
