“Good Breakfast Spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2014

Read about this spot online and decided to try it out on a recent Chattanooga overnight stay, we were not disappointed.Pancakes were huge and tasty, everyone at the table raved about their selections (the hot chocolate was soo good I had to hijack it from my wife).Service was quick and friendly, decor is cool, didn't expect a modern appearance in a Southern restaurant with such a Souther name, but it worked. Will definitely go back...

“Blue Ribbon Blue Plate”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2014

It was a cold night in Cattanooga so we were looking for a nice restaurant near our downtown hotel. The fellow at the desk suggested the blue plate and we were happy he did. The restaurant is a somewhat odd alliance of metalllic decor with Southern cooking, all with a view of the Chattanooga River. We got a coupon for the filled chips from the hotel. They were fantastic and probably could have been our meal. I had a pork tenderloin with black-eyed peas. The pork was perfectly done and tender and the peas were tasty. The young staff was earnest and efficient.

“Breakfast.....yummy local fare!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2014

Had a late breakfast at Blue Plate and was highly impressed with the menu selections! My daughter is not a breakfast fan, so they fixed something for her from the lunch menu, which was awesome! At our table we had pancakes, breakfast tacos and a cheese omlete. All of it was yummy and we even passed plates around. I particularly enjoyed the pancakes (the few bites I could hold) as they were very thick and had more of a rough texture to them :-) The bacon was great and gobbled up quite quickly! View of the river is nice. Had great service, loved the booth tables!!

“Fun place to eat”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 26, 2013

We dropped by for supper on the day after Christmas. Had spent the afternoon at the Tennessee Aquarium. Was not crowded and were quickly seated. Standard American fare. Most dishes were prepared using locally grown ingredients.

I had pork loin, my wife had a huge steak salad. Tab came to $44.11 including 2 beers and a cocktail.

Food was tasty and attractively served.

Full bar. Free wifi.

Excellent food. Atmosphere is a bit different- im not really sure what type of theme they are going for- but the food is great- and the price is relatively reasonable.
