We spent most of the day in NW Georgia, then rode on to chattanooga for dinner and check out the scenery. We strolled down to the riverpark, and oh how pretty it was.The light reflected off the river was vibrant and so colorful. The water fountain was mesmerising. There are a lot of eateries and bars along the street above the river, as well as the Tennessee aquarium.

The Riverpark that runs along the river for 12 miles is great for bikers, joggers, etc. I rode my bike the full route past the city into the swamp area and woods to the other side where the industrial area is. Be aware that the railroad crossing can be hazardous if it starts to rain due to rubber coating. I saw several types of wildlife. Finding the start of the trail was a bit challenging. You have to go past the art museum on your left and go down the hill there until you find the actual entrance. I missed it the first time I looked for it.

Great fun renting bikes and going across the bridge. Beautiful scenery and the carousel is neat for kids.

We lived in Chattanooga in the mid 1970s and had not been back since 1976. The City Fathers have done a gret job of revitalizing downtown and the river area. Very scenic and family friendly

The time that we stayed near the Riverpark had the balloon special that was so wonderful at night taking off-with all the myriad of colors-great sight.
