When on business I do my best to stay fit and active. I was recently in Chattanooga, and rather than workout in the hotel fitness center, I decided to seek out the Tennessee Riverwalk and enjou a run along the river. It was a wonderful treat, in that the Riverwalk meanders through various neighborhoods, allowing you to take in more than just a riverside stroll; plus there were a number of elevation changes that challenged my legs near the Bluff View district. I consider those who live in Chattanooga very fortunate to have this wonderful outdoor space to enjoy.

The entire park is a wonderful place to visit, whatever you're looking to do. Lots of places to walk, run, bike or just hang out. We were there during the regatta on the Hooch, so we saw all sorts of activity on the river.

Access is easy and parking is free. This is just a great place to kick back and enjoy a beautiful river.

The Tennessee Riverpark is a great place to ride bikes, have a birthday party, exercise, take a walk, throw a frisbee or watch the kids play at the park and it's along the Tennessee River. A great place to spend quality family time with the family.

The riverfront park is truly lovely. It was great to be able to walk from the arts area up on the bluff by the Hunter Museum to down by the riverboats without having to leave pedestrian walkways. The fountains and water cannons near the aquarium are beautiful, and it's really neat to be able to walk out on the floating pier onto the river. This is a great use of scenic riverfront space that makes the city seem more cosmopolitan and less industrial. Nicely done, Chattanooga!

Chattanooga sets right on the Tennessee River. The City has built a walkway along the river from downtown to the Chickamauga, Dam. It is about 5 miles of wide walkways, and beautifully manicured grounds. Take a picnic lunch and enjoy the walk, or bike ride. Take a camera for the occasional boat or barge on the river. The locals are very friendly. This is a zero cost outing. Afterwards enjoy one of the many great restaurants down town. www.mfigeorgia.com
