Owner description: Imagine a zoo that's specially designed to bring the animals up close to you. Imagine a zoo where you have time to notice the subtleties of animal behavior, instead of being pushed along by an impatient crowd. Imagine an exciting and diverse zoo that's still easy to navigate with strollers...or little legs. That's the new Chattanooga Zoo!

A nice little zoo that was affordable and comfortable to maneuver without being exhausted. The animals are beautiful and well care for. Free parking.

“A place where the animals actually interact”
Reviewed April 16, 2013 via mobile

My family and I enjoyed the zoo. It was cheap to get in and unlike our hometown Atlanta zoo, the animals were very interactive and were super excited to have guest.

“Fun family trip”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

This was our second trip to the Chattanooga Zoo. We visited on Easter Sunday. There was no crowd, at all. I like this facility because of the ease in which I can maneuver the space. It is clean and my grandchildren loved the hands on nature show. My son ended up buying a family season pass. He lives in Knoxville and I live in Atlanta and we often meet in Chattanooga. I think we will get a lot of use out of our passes. Plus, he gets discounts at many zoos around the country, including Knoxvile and Atlanta. Very good price for a fun family adventure.

“A very nice little zoo”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

This zoo was small, but seemed well maintained and run by friendly helpers. Most of the animals were out and about to be seen.

We particularly enjoyed the large cats - while there are not as many as some bigger zoos, the ones they have were out and active. Go see the snow leopards, beautiful.

Many of the other exhibits were great also.

We spent about 2 hours to see the entire zoo at a leisurely pace - not long, but a good visit.

“Great Little Zoo”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

This zoo may be small but it is packed with things for family fun. We started off wth a camel ride for our girls and they can't wait to get to school to tell their classmates they rode a camel. We saw lots of animals we don't see in our community. Our favorites were the different types of small monkeys with strange looking faces and ears. We have never seen anything like this. These little creatures were very active and we could have stood there a long time watching them play! We could not decide it they were absolutley cute or maybe a little evil looking like Gremlins! LOL. We also loved the petting zoo. We bought a family pass at the Montgomery Zoo and we were able to use it at this zoo for half off! We will be back!
