We went for Sunday brunch and got there early around 11:00am and were seated in 5 minutes. We had a table on the patio and had a nice shady spot with a breeze. The temperature was in the high 80's.
I got the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs. The eggs had great flavor and the sausage gravy was perfect. Unlike many places that make gravy that tastes like paste, this gravy had great meaty flavor and just the right amount of sausage bits.
The biscuit - outstanding.
My husband had a Bloody Mary. It was good but he commented that there were only two kinds of mixes. There was a good selection of mix-ins including olives, celery, pickled okra and bacon. The price was very reasonable at $3.50. He ordered the breakfast with bacon, eggs, hash browns and toast. They brought him grits but promptly corrected that and brought his hash browns.
Everything was hot when it was presented, tasted great and the price for brunch was very reasonable.
Our waitress Lillian was so polite and brought us our drinks right away. She let us know that our meal would be arriving soon and she checked back with us a few times to make sure everything was right. She was a super server !
We have eaten at 1885 Grill a few times and this was one of the better meals and the best service we have had. A great place to eat in Chattanooga.
