“Large assortment of poorly cooked food”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

The buffet was disappointing. There is indeed a huge array of dishes, but everything was greasy, or overcooked, or over-salted, or all three.

“Disappointed”
Reviewed June 29, 2012

I had heard so many good things about Chef Lin, and the smells from the restaurant were so delicious when my husband and I were in the area that we couldn't wait to try the buffet. When we did finally go there, we were terribly disappointed. The food wasn't as good as China Moon or Forbidden City, the selection wasn't nearly as good as the other local Chinese buffets, and the service was average. We found nothing special when we visited Chef Lin, so we probably will not go back. There are other Chinese buffets that have been consistently excellent in service, selection, and food.

“Tasty”
Reviewed April 29, 2012 via mobile

We walked in, and the food smelled wonderful! Everything (aside from one or two items) was fresh, and really tasty. Lots of variety, and well-prepared items. Not a lot of veggies, but we were looking for seafood and meat dishes... which were great. Not fancy, but lots of items not usually found on buffet ... Coconut Shrimp was delicious; so was the spicy seafood soup. Wanted to try more than we had room for. 3.5 stars

“Buffet with lots of Variety and a Great Price”
Reviewed December 24, 2011

Our office frequently goes here for lunch. There can be anywhere from 6-10 of us, and we are always seated quickly. There are numerous selelctions to choose from including a Hibachi grill and Sushi. There are numerous typical Chinese dishes, salad items, fruits, desserts, ice cream, and fortune cookies to complete the meal. Best of all, lunch for 4 costs less than $30!

“Best sushi and hibachi, decent selection of buffet, lots of seafood”
Reviewed December 12, 2011

My wife and I eat at new sushi + hibachi places wherever we travel. This past year we've been to at least a dozen different ones around the country. Chef Lin has quite a few sushi selection, the rice used was just right, delicious sauces, spicy tuna roll, salmon tempura roll, edemame, and many more. We are not into bottom dweller ocean filters (crabs, squid, shrimp, mollusks) but they definitely have an abundance of those. The rest, the chicken selection was "alright" meaning there are many chinese buffet places that can top them easily on that part. But the sushi, hibachi and seafood were definitely five star. Service was as expected. Though we didn't like one server took soysauce bottles from every table including ours to refill them when we were eating / when we need them. Ice cream available also. They have plaques all over the place showing their restaurant being voted Best in the County or City , etc.
