We went today for late lunch. Service awful. The hostess/waitress looked miserable.
Our table was dirty after being cleaned and there was enough food and stains on the paper menu that I almost walked out. Never a good sign.
The fried chicken strips very, very dry and the zucchini side veggies were cold and soggy.
The spud puppies were delicious and hot!
Probably better at night when it's dark and you've had a few cocktails.

It was really good food. It was kind of a random time to eat there so the service was a little slow but the food made up for it.

The Grille has two parts: a bar that is great for just hanging out and enjoying a conversation, and a more formal dining area. The food in the dining area is excellent, particularly the pulled pork (and I'm particular about my pulled pork).

Thank tumbling

Although the name implies it is mainly a restaurant (with a bar), it's really more like a bar with a restaurant. Not that the food is bad, it's just that it's pretty typical fare. It might very well have the best possible location for a restaurant in Chattanooga, but I think they know that and don't try as hard as they could. It just doesn't have anything to make it stand out. Okay, alright, average are the words I'd use to describe it. But at night it does become one of the more popular spots to hang out. The crowd tends to be late 20s- 30s, and kinda yuppyish, but it's a nice laid-back place that becomes a nearly open-air bar on nice evenings when they "roll up" the wall that faces the street.

We try to make it to the Northshore Grill during every stay in Chattanooga. The waitstaff are all knowledgable and smiling; the make-it-yourself Bloody Mary bar is a smashing success. Parkling can be difficult, as it is in most of Chattanooga. There's a parking garage 2 blocks away. Great place to watch a game; a bit loud but that's part of the ambiance. The terrific food makes up for the noise. Try the bacon cheeseburger. Awesome.
