3 of us guys went at lunch time....one got the rib tips and 2 of us split the platter....seriously....it came on a garbage can lid....the atmosphere was cozy and the food was super but we could have been at least one more people.....We went on a Tuesday and our platter was only $22.22 which I felt was a great price....take the family and pig out....

We're relocating to Chattanooga dn thought we'd try this restaurant to see if it was as good as advertised. On arrival, we were told that it would be an approximate 20-25 minute wait. We thought we'd stay since this was our first visit. As we seated ourselves in the lobby, we noticed that over half the tables were empty. I asked the hostess about why the delay with over half the tables empty, she responded that most of the servers were on break so we couldn't be served. Seeing that along with a very dirty floor, we decided to leave. I can't imagine going back to experience the same thing so I'm rating this as poor even though we didn't eat.

Our first visit to Famous Dave's (headquartered in Minnesota) was not a total bust -- the service was friendly and the decor was attractive in a formulaic way (north woods hunting lodge). Unfortunately, the food was just OK and bore little resemblance to real barbecue. The brisket was way too sweet, the cornbread was way too sweet, the sweet potatoes were bad ... you get the picture. The green beans were pretty good. The place was doing a big business on Sunday after church, but there are better options.

I love Famous Dave's atmosphere and their food - it is great tasting, they have so many sauce options, and it is all offered at a very good value. The staff is genuinely caring and friendly and they go above and beyond for you. I recommend this place to everyone!

Wonderful food and price. Daily deals (M-F) that are worth taking advantage of. Two dollars off all burgers on Monday. Sampler meal for two for 22.22 on Tuesdays. And, all you can eat ribs 9.99 on Thursday. Can't remember other days.
