“Big party? No view.”
Reviewed September 24, 2013

We were a party of 12 so I realize that accommodations need to be made. I would have loved to have the lovely view that others were raving about but alas, all we got was a view of the bar with an ice machine on the second storey spitting out ice to a tub below. So the atmosphere on this Thursday evening was crowded and a bit noisy. The service was good but the food didn't live up to expectations. I would put it all into the average category -- the usual items on the menu with a few differences but this just felt to me like just an average pub-style restaurant. I nearly forgot to mention that the absolute highlight of the evening was dessert. They serve an authentic key lime pie and it was fabulous! I probably should have skipped dinner and went straight for a double shot of dessert.

“Great food and great view!”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

We've been here twice, and have loved it each time. The food is fantastic! You can enjoy the view of the river as you eat, and walk along the riverwalk after your meal. We've always had friendly, prompt service, too. I'd highly recommend it! Parking is a bit tight (not a huge parking lot), but it's still worth it!

“A Relaxing Evening After A Long Day”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

After two days of experience and information overload regarding the Battle of Chickamauga we needed a nice scenic location with good food to allow us to relax and decompress. We found it at the Boathouse Rotisserie & Raw Bar. A restaurant we found listed on Tripadvisor as well as other publications we reviewed.
It was “a little” difficult for us to find in that we were not familiar with the area. We waited a short time in that we did not have a reservation. We were taken to what has to be an ideal outdoor corner table looking out over the Tennessee River as well as across the river to a green space area that actually was a golf course.
Our server a pleasant young woman greeted us and reviewed dining specials for the day.
We first started with a bottle of wine and the Made To Order Guacamole & Chips appetizer. It was a slightly different preparation with small chunks of avocado instead of smashed avocado; it was very good. After giving us ample time to enjoy the appetizer our server returned to take our entrée selections.
This day both my spouse and I selected the Trout Almondine Filet selection. Good decisions on our part. The preparation was very delicious and well prepared. Portions were generous and the entrées were served as I like them, hot.
Our server returned many times to check on how we were doing and how we were enjoying the trout.
After finishing our meal, the dishes were cleared and we were allowed to remain to enjoy the remaining wine that was left in the bottle. Even though the restaurant was beginning to get busy and fill up we were never rushed.
This was a great restaurant for our last evening in the area.

“Great River View”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

Back deck view of the Tenn River and golf course across the river make for a splendid lunch spot. Sandwiches were good but small.

“The view, not the food”
Reviewed September 7, 2013

Ate here for dinner with friends on a recent trip. The food was OK, nothing worth noting and drinks were expensive, but the outside seating offers a fabulous view for sunset, with fans, shades and heaters to make it comfortable in many conditions. Food selections at our table were the shrimp cocktail, the garlicky chicken, wood grilled okra and ash cooked sweet potato--which all sounds good, but as noted, just OK. Right on the Riverwalk, so you can always stroll here, but know that the Riverwalk closes at dusk.
