“Good food...quick!”
Reviewed August 23, 2014

While dropping our daughter off at college we stopped in to the Innside Restaurant. It was a quick morning stop and we almost missed going thinking a drive through would be quicker. Of course a drive through would have been quicker but this place was pretty fast. It's an old school dive type of diner. The food was hearty and delicious. The biscuits were fab...and two of my family members had biscuits and gravy and said they were pretty delish. The waitress informed us that it is was her mom's recipe. The grits were pretty great too and I don't usually eat grits. Not the best place for a large group, more than four are hard to seat...but we made the most of it. Service was nice and hospitable.

“Best kept secret!!”
Reviewed June 26, 2014 via mobile

We found a positive online review and decided to try this restaurant since it was close to the Sheraton Read House where we were staying. When we asked our valet for directions, he responded, "good choice"! We had breakfast for 5 people for only $32 and left stuffed with food leftover! The pancakes were phenomenal!! The biscuits, gravy, grits and BLT were also excellent. We wished we had tried this place sooner than our last day in town. Pam was super friendly, helpful and attentive. Will definitely return and recommend to anyone in the area.

“Average Food, Good Value, and Great Service”
Reviewed June 20, 2014

The food was rather average, but the service was super-friendly, very fast, and the food was priced right. This place is designed to take it's small footprint, maximize the space, and feed folks as fast as possible.

Not the best place for a stroller, but there was a place to fold it up and store it near the coat rack. The staff even pointed out better seats when a table opened up that would better suit our family.

“Good food, good prices”
Reviewed March 7, 2014

We only had breakfast here, but we were pleased with the food and service. It doesn't look like much but it reminded me of the old school diners.

“Some good points, average overall”
Reviewed February 20, 2014

With so many diner and breakfast choices in downtown Chattanooga, the are many great attributes about Innside, but comparatively it is between average and a very good quick stop. First the positives are the excellent and expedient staff. Although the prices are very, very reasonable. The food, albeit really good, is average. I can suppose the quickness of preparation speed and delivery off sets the quality or uniqueness. The grits are on the really good yet expected scale. The ham omelet did seem to have freshly ground ham (texture of perhaps a hand grinder), but slightly spoiled by the small slab of American cheese haphazardly tossed on top. They are much better than the roadside diners that you find just off the interstate, but with just a few more details, they would be much better. Totally understand a previous reviewer's reaction to the "in your face" UT salute, but ambivalent to the university in general. Still worth a stop for the price, waiting time, and still pretty good food.
