My family began coming to the Station House years ago after visiting the wonderful Santa at the Choo Choo each December. My son is a teen now and we still make a family dinner date at the Station House each December. The singers/wait staff are so talented and the food is very good.I always see tables of people celebrating and plenty of smiles. There is always a crowd so make reservations.

It's the best experience. Everyone is so wonderful and can sing!! Make reservation, cause the locals are informed of the Chattanooga secret.

The music here is always Great! The 1st time we went there a few years ago, we had a very good "overall" experience, and could not wait to come back when we were in town again. I booked a reservation for 6pm on January 25th. We were the first ones in the door promptly at 6pm, but ended up being seated way over in a corner in the back. Our waiter was pleasant enough, but either inexperienced or inept. We mentioned that this was an anniversary celebration, he acknowledged that they would be sure to announce it and congratulate with a song as is customary when requested. Took our drink order then took about 15 minutes getting those back to us, dropped them off and took off without taking our order. Our order took forever and arrived just barely warm. Pricey steaks should be hot, and not dried out. Went 10 minutes with empty glass waiting on drink refill even after he acknowledged it empty. Oh..and the anniversary acknowledgment never happened. Like I said, Music is Great..Service & Food..Not so much! We will go elsewhere in the future.

The Chattanooga Choo Choo experience is definitely to be found at the Station House in downtown Chattanooga. On the tracks outside, the bright steam engine commands everyone's attention, enticing the kids to climb aboard. We're all tourists around the train station, checking out the holiday decorations in the depot (now the grand lobby of their hotel), eyeing the trinkets and books in the gift store, or riding the trolley (free) around the expansive grounds. But we came for dinner! And it was a grand family celebration the Station House provided. The food was as expected from a large, touristy steak house. You come for the total experience, not for a fine, intimate dinner. But hey, we were a table of eleven people ranging 3 yrs - 73. Our server was most attentive, despite the holiday weekend crowds. And our food was just fine. The singing waiters & waitresses kept the entertainment rolling whether on the front stage or roaming through the crowd. The musicians were top notch. The holiday songs chosen for the evening kept everything festive if a little kitsch. And if a birthday is on your agenda, the management is happy to have you bring in your own celebration dessert. Served with singing and applause. We left happy.
