“New Hotel on The River”
Reviewed October 17, 2012

Nice new Hotel right on the river. Several blocks from the aquarium. Modern suite overlooking the river. Outdoor fire pit was nice as well as the hot tub. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
We really enjoyed our stay. Parking is an additional $8.00 a day. Have to pay for parking everywhere in Chattanooga. We look forward to coming back.

Room Tip: Stayed on the top floor facing the River. Very quiet and comfortable.

While working in downtown Chattanooga for 5 weeks, I stayed at the Springhill Suites and found the accomodations and staff to be wonderful.
The room was had a separate "living area" as well as a small fridge and microwave. These things are vital when you're living away from home.
Also, Hannah and the rest of the staff made me feel welcome and made sure I had everything I need while there.
I will be staying here again whenever I'm in Chattanooga!

They have EVERYTHING absolutely right. Brand new hotel; great location on the river; our room had a private patio overlooking the river. This hotel is not exactly in the downtown proper, but a traveler's research will find this out when making the reservation. Marriott thought of everything, right down to the bath soap they offer which is shaped to fit your hand. Why can't every hotel do this?? The bed was perfect -- I want one -- and will probably buy one from Marriott! 1/2 off your 1st drink in the lobby bar is a nice touch. And they do NOT keep a pot of coffee smoldering in the lobby. Every cup is brewed fresh on request. What a concept! The staff was all smiles from check-in to check-out. And the breakfast was one of the best ever. Period. The kitchen staff kept all food items flowing smoothly; the floor was spotless during a very busy Sunday breakfast including many adults and children. A wedding was held here the night we checked in. Perfect location out on the lawn overlooking the patio, with everyone relaxing around the firepit after sundown. Guests and staff alike clapped for & greeted the newlyweds after the ceremony. We loved it, and will return here on our next visit to Chattanooga. This one's now on my preferred hotels list.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a private patio. Relax out there (weather permitting) with a glass of wine and...

This is an outstanding hotel, truly one of the best I've stayed in. Be warned it is a little bit of a walk to the downtown attractions so don't plan on doing that. If your goal is great view, clean, new, good service, nice breakfast, free wireless, big rooms, and great beds this is your place. The only bad part is $8 a day parking this rubs me wrong. I'm an elite Marriott customer this should be free, Marriott your better than this. I'm not switching brands but please fix this. Not sure hot this property could be listed as less than a 4 star.

I am a Marriott Rewards member and almost always stay in Marriott properties. As a result there were few surprises concerning the interior of the hotel. Service was adequate. But as a woman travelling alone and arriving at night I was very disappointed at this "downtown" location. A better description would have been a term coined in an old Disney movie (The Great Mouse Detective) that referenced "the sewer district" The area was poorly lit. The hotel sits below grade such that it's hard to see the road leading to the entrance. Approaching from the MLK side the area is very industrial so no activity after hours. The stench from the river was nauseating, permeating the lobby and even the hallways on the upper floors !!! The parking fees only added insult to injury.

The interior of the hotel is modern and incorporates the Asian design that most Marriott properties have transitioned to.

Definitely a great place to stay when in Chattanooga.
Very clean and nice modern rooms, very well appointed. Staff were very friendly. They have a great lounge and bar area. Will be back there next time in Chattanooga.

This is a bright and modern hotel option for the downtown Chattanooga scene. Although it is not quite as close to the aquarium and downtown as the Residence Inn, it is less expensive, easier to get in and out of, and much cleaner. Parking, although it costs an extra $8, is convenient and it’s an easy walk along the river to get to all the downtown action. The rooms were bright and clean, with soft beds. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise with healthier options than you would normally see. This hotel is highly recommended for those that want to stay in town but looking for a little more peace and quiet.

Room Tip: Rooms that overlook the river also are above the patio. If there is a reception going on it may get...
