I decided to try the Conga Latin Food restaurant based on the reviews. The restaurant was easy to find. It was also nice that they had off the street parking set aside for only restaurant patrons. The façade wasn't that exciting and you'd miss the restaurant entirely if you weren't looking for it. It was early on a Saturday night and I had the place to myself until I was ready to leave. It is small with only a few tables and booths, which matched the size of the menu. The menu itself was only two pages, with the first one focusing on main courses.
The restaurant serves Salvadorian/Latin food at an affordable price. There were only three different types of dishes to which to choose from. However there were multiple fillings for each dish. A combo which included one main item, rice and black beans only cost a little less than $7. The food was very good and definitely worth the price and a return visit.
There were no issues with the service, but it wasn't great either. No one checked on how I was doing throughout the meal until I was finished, which was surprising given I was the only customer. However they weren't rude or had any cause for me not to return. It looked like they were more energetic with locals that they knew. If they could just bring that energy to everyone else than the restaurant would set itself apart from others.
If you are looking for something different, Conga Latin food is a good choice. There isn't much atmosphere, but the food is very good.
