“Pricey, but slept well, ate well.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2012

My family of 6 stayed in a suite for only one night. It had 2 very comfortable queen sized beds, and a pull-out sofa-bed with room for 2 children, however, the pull-out bed was like a hammock, so one of my children opted to sleep on the floor with the cushions.

The hotel service was fine and friendly. They serve free breakfast until 9 a.m., which included a belgian waffle-maker, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, and fresh fruit. I don't recall if there were other hot foods.

This property has an indoor pool, which we did not use. It also has a "workout" room with one bicycle and one treadmill. Neither of the machines worked. There were also free weights, and a tv in the fitness room. This was a pretty pricey hotel, but for the price, it was less expensive than staying in 2 separarate rooms.

We booked a room here on a trip north from Florida. The building is older, but well maintained and appeared clean. We had a king room, which had a nice bed and adequate furnishings. We ate before going to our room, And when we got there we immediately noticed an intermittent, loud, humming noise. We realized our room was next to the elevator. We went to the front desk and asked for a different room. We were told that there were no rooms available except suites. The desk clerk said the system would not allow her to switch us to another room without paying an additional fee. REALLY? I asked what our options are and she guessed we didn't have any except to pay for an upgrade. We recently joined the Choice Hotel program because we are planning a driving trip out west. Guess we won't be using that program!

Room Tip: Don't get a room that ends in 08. We were in 208.

We stayed 4 nights. I had a craft show in Chattanooga and we spent two days on vacation as well. We smelled no smoke. Stayed on the fourth floor and every now and then you heard a door slam... other than that no sounds heard through the walls.

It was clean besides a few bleach stains on the hall carpet. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the air conditioner kept us cool. We had a small fridge and microwave and a flat screen tv.

We liked that all the rooms were interior rooms, go through the lobby and you can go straight to the elevators but they do have a back door that is accessible with your hotel room key and then also you cave to use your key to get in and out of the indoor pool room. They also have a whirl pool down there.

Hubby said breakfast was good. All the staff were very nice and helpful with local places to shop and eat.

There is a wal-mart, logans, cracker barrel, and waffle house right down the street and it is a quick ride over to Chattanooga. Also it is right off the road up to Lookout Mountain. There is also hardees and mcdonalds right in the parking lot.

Over all for the price we were pleased. I do wish they would by better shower heads for hotels in general...lol

We never used room service or housekeeping.

Room Tip: We stayed on the forth floor on the mountain side. It was quiet and you had a small view of the side...

This hotel needs a serious cleaning & overhaul. Even though it says non-smoking, the entire place stinks SO bad. All our luggage smelled from only one night. The carpets in the hall & the chair in our room had some nasty stains. Definately not to the standards of the other Comfort Inns I've stayed in.

The Comfort Inn in Chattanooga could do better. The rooms we had were okay; they were clean, roomy enough, had refrigerators, and we were able to get an adjoining suite for my mother, who travelled with us. The breakfast was minimal but - again - okay. No eggs, meat or potato or grits, which we found at a number of other places we stayed at while travelling through the area. But when our elevator doors opened on the third floor, we were greeted by an absolutely filthy carpet. It looked as if someone had come to a violent end a few weeks earlier, and the results of that demise, while vacuumed up, were still clearly evident. The dirty carpeting continued all the way down the hall, and since guests see this before they see their room, it creates an indelible impression. If I were running that hotel and did not have enough money to replace the carpet, I think I would go to Costco or Walmart and purchase their largest area rug to through over the disgusting floor covering. Front desk were pleasant, agreeable, not always totally knowledgeable, but definitely trying hard. So do something about that carpet!

The room was clean and fine and typical for a Comfort Inn. It did have a refrigerator which we used. Our room did not smell of smoke, but there was some smoky odor in parts of the hotel. It was convenient to Lookout Mountain and Ruby Falls.

The person at the front desk was very helpful with us in answering some questions about Choice Privileges and local dinner options.

An OK place to stay. Not great, not bad.

Worst stay ever for a Choice hotel...Never slept as room doors slam shut and kids were doing it all night and call to front desk was useless...."be aware" "be aware" this is a smoking hotel and it stinks on every floor...made us sick...but manager who was mostly unintelligible said no one else complains; and you still lose all your points (16000) ..point??? taken...

Room Tip: smoking hotel...smoking hotel...says it all
