i love the walnut street pedestrian bridge over the TN river. it is a safe place to walk, run, stroll, bike. it is well lit at nite. the bridge connects north chattanooga to the downtown side of things...fun stuff on both sides of the bridge, and coolidge park is just underneath the north end of the bridge. best place in downtown chattanooga to catch a sunrise or a sunset.

This is one of the very best historic pedestrian bridges I've ever experienced. Not only is it a great place to watch the Head of the Hooch regatta It also serves as a convenient connection between Chattanooga's major entertainment and restaurant district and the city's historic market district

We walked this bridge twice during our stay in Chattanooga. Each time we found something different to focus on in the surrounding scenery and river scape. Well worth a visit as it is in easy walking distance of the Bluff View Arts District. Nearby there are many very different and interesting sculptures to enjoy.

The bridge was my favorite part of the trip, they had a music event with Blue Grass so it was a busy night. Also there was a show with hot air balloon that was so beautiful.
