“Live here--LOVE it!”

We go to the park to just hang out and have a picnic. We are local and we LOVE this park. It is beautiful and amazing. The scenery is spectacular. We had a picnic and flew our kite here last Sunday after church. Good times. That carousel is the best one I've ever seen and I've seen plenty of them. Thumbs way up!

“Had so much fun here.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 9, 2009

I took my 11 and 7 year old boys here when were in Chattanooga. They loved playing in the water. It was a hot day and I even got in the water myself. The park is just beautiful and there was plenty of green space for us to play football. If you go to Chattanooga in the summer, you must visit the park.

“Nice park- Great Carousel for the kids!!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 5, 2008

This is a very nice park and a great asset to Chattanooga for the locals. We went on a very nice Oct. Thurs. There is a giant indoor Carousel there that only cost .50 a ride. We walked the long pedestrian bridge, but only went about half way.
A very nice park !

“Love the carousel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 22, 2007

We loved this park!! We took four of our grandchildren to the park and stayed several hours. They loved the carousel and we did too!! Can't tell you how long it's been since we rode one, but it's been a while!! We didn't bring suits, so we didn't use the sprayground, although it looked wonderful! We rode the carousel a few times, then threw balls with the kids and just let them enjoy the spacious grounds - they loved it! The view of the river is great, the bathrooms were clean, the entire park is well-maintained. Saw the post referencing thugs but we saw no evidence of anything like that when we were there. Although there were several groups of young people visiting at the same time we were, they were all very well-behaved.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit!!! Kudos to Chattanooga for this great park.
My only complaint/suggestion is they could use more picnic tables. We only saw two and they had been staked out and claimed by folks who came before us and we got there about 10:30 am. This park would be great for a picnic with or without kids, if only there were more tables.

“Must see in Chattanooga”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 30, 2006

This is a lovely city, and a great little riverside park. Ignore the reviews about hoodlums - some people see any minorities and flip out. This park was super clean and felt very safe (wouldn't even mention if not for the other reviews). Carousel a nice diversion for all ages. Take the Walnut pedestrian bridge for nice views of the city.
