I spent two nights here during my Christmas vacation. We arrived without a reservation, but rooms were available. I only took it for one night and then decided later to stay an additional night. The front desk staff and the young women doing the breakfast were all friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The neighborhood is not very scenic, but it is was a short drive to everything we wanted to do during our stay. We were not traveling with a dog, but I was glad to see that the hotel was pet friendly. Many of the guests had dogs and none of them caused a problem. The breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, cereal, waffles and muffins.

Got a super special on this through Priceline. Was pretty skeptical after reading other reviews. Bottom line - my wife was OK with it and it worked well for a night. The room had been renovated and was attractive and comfortable. The bed definitely was not one of those super comfortable ones other hotels advertise, but it was OK - even though there were noticeable stains on the comforter. Good sized fridge and microwave were nice. The HVAC was a new unit, but even on low the fan droned on loudly, and even though you could set the temperature, it was impossible to control. We ended up turning it off during the night and staying chilly. Halls look shabby, as do the elevators. Definitely not an up-scale crowd. Tricky to find off the interstate and not in a great area. The breakfast was great. And they're fine with dogs, which was one main reason for going there.

When traveling with your pet La Quinta Inns are a good stop for over night. This Inn has outdoor hallways, a pool, continental breakfast and is reasonable priced. Average stay but good for overnight on the road from Mi. to Florida.

When we arrived I found that the person at the desk hadn't been informed of my new arrival date although the person on the phone told me it was all set.

The first impression of the outside was shabby. The lobby looked more promising and the staff was friendly. The dog was no problem.

The appearance of the halls leading to our room was shabby but the room looked OK. My brother cleaned some scum off the sink.

The pet area was very far from our room. They were renovating the rooms that were close so things should be improved in the future. The paint fumes as you walked down the hall were strong.
