Checkin was a bit slow as the desk mgr was talking to his coworker while I stood waiting. When he finally realized I wanted to check-in (why else would I be standing there?) he apologized. I'd been looking forward during the days long drive to a cookie and cup of coffee. All the cookies were gone (it was 6:00 pm) and there were no coffee cups. The desk clerk joked some kids had eaten them all earlier......guess there's a limited supply??!! The young family checking in next to me had to explain to their 2 little boys they wouldn't be getting their cookies. Not good. The room was average, a bit tight around the desk. There was 1 uncomfortable chair that had to be moved between the beds to see the tv and an office chair. The microwave was on the desk which limited the work surface. The fridge was inside a cabinet which made it a bit awkward to access. The decor was bright and attractive. The beds were fine and there was limited road noise. I noticed a line of dust/dirt all along where the floor carpet meets the wall. Otherwise it was clean. The bathroom was small and a bit old. The floor grout needed to be redone and the door was chipped at the bottom but it was clean. Plenty of towels, hot water, and amenities. Breakfast was great and the young woman working there was cordial and working hard. Coffee was good and they had half-and-half! There was noise from the room above...and you could hear when they ran water. All-in-all, not a bad place but nothing great. I travel this area several times a year and I'll probably try someplace else next time.

Very nice hotel...beds were super Comfy, the hotel was clean (even the lobby bathroom)!!! The only negative was no hot tub.

Special mention: Evaldo Mendes made us feel so welcomed...and he had such a wonderful Customer service attitude! As any frequent traveler will agree You can overlook a lot of things but never poor service!

On a recent trip, we pulled off I-24, exit 174, to rest and refresh. Lucky for us we found this Holiday Inn Express. The staff, specifically Wendi, was very friendly and helpful in getting us checked in and familiar with the area. Our room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The complementary breakfast, served in a dedicated dining room, had a wide variety of choices. The hostess did an excellent job of keeping the food areas clean, tidy and freshly stocked. Because of this experience, we stopped on our return trip. Wendi actually remembered us from our previous visit and offered us a complimentary bag of snacks and attraction information—as a thank you for returning. Wendi's personal attention made a big impression on us. Looking for a comfy stop along I-24? Exit 174, Holiday Inn Express is a great place to stop.

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor are always quieter.

Stayed here over night and it was so comfortable that I wish I had stayed longer! The rooms are roomy, clean and bright. The bed is super comfortable and inviting. The hotel, overall, is very clean. Staff is friendly and efficient. The complimentary breakfast is great with a variety of choices. The price...just fine! You do get what you pay for. And I was very pleased! Cracker Barrel is within walking distance if you prefer more than the free breakfast that is provided by the hotel. Would HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Pick a room near the ice machine. It's too convenient to pass up!
