“Yummmmmy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2012

Found this by accident while checking out the shopping in Northshore--took a wrong turn but so glad I did. I got a to go order of the curry lentil soup, Popeye bowl and spinach and roasted red pepper hummus plate. I was going to sample each and save some for later but just a few hours later and it is all gone. Everything was fresh and homemade. This will be one of my favorite eateries in Chattanooga everytime I visit. Can't wait to visit again (probably tomorrow and try some different dishes. The menu will make your mouth water. Service was fast and prices very reasonable.

“The Best Vegan/Vegetarian Food in Chattanooga”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2012

This is a casual, bohemian, hip place for a relaxed meal in comfortable surroundings with very friendly staff and incredible food!

The food is amazing and ever so good. There is a huge variety and you could eat here every day for a month and have something different every time all freshly prepared.

Let me share my favorites with you to give you an idea of what treats are in store for you here. The Pesto Brushetta is very satisfying for brushetta lovers like me. This comes with fresh tomato on their lovely baguette with pesto sauce.

The Spicy Cheeky "wings" are a take off on chicken wings. This is made with seitan (it is made with wheat flour and can be seasoned to take on any flavor. I make seitan at home and buy it at Whole Foods. The texture is "meaty" and can be shaped) and a nice sauce.

Their nachos are very deluxe with a vegan cheese sauce, their own vegan chili, lettuce, salsa, black olives and more. You will definitely need a napkin for this!

The chef salad has seitan in it as well. Other great dishes include their garlic mashed potatoes, wraps, salads, sandwiches of all types, sweet potato-spinach enchiladas (my teenager is addicted to these), unique veggie burgers, thai bowls, curry bowls, sweet chili thai pad, soft tacos, and the most tasty of all- a seitan barbecue sub. They have the restaurants serving dead animal bbq (where patrons fund animal abuse and clog their arteries at the same time) beaten by a mile with this seitan BBQ. The bbq seitan sub goes so nicely with mashed sweet potatoes for a healthy meal.

The price is right too so you can feel good about eating the delicious healthy food that is also good for your wallet. Highly recommended.

“Amazing place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2012 via mobile

Just ate the Sweet Potato/Spinach Enchiladas and they were amazing....My wife had the Spinach Red Pepper Hummus wrap and she was equally as satisfied...All fresh food; truly one of the best vegan restaurants I have ever been.

“I try to eat here once a week”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2012

When Sluggo's opened a few years ago, I frankly didn't expect a vegan restaurant to last in a city like Chattanooga, with a BBQ eatery on seemingly every corner. I've never been happier to be proven wrong! Since then, Sluggo's has grown into an iconic part of North Chattanooga, with a bustling pub-like atmosphere, cozy lighting, hearty food, live music from local talent and movie nights. The menu is 100% vegetarian, and so good and generously portioned no one will miss the meat or dairy- the sharp, creamy cashew "uncheese" in their macaroni and hot grilled quesadillas will satisfy the most discerning cheese lover. My favorite by far is the Reuben on toasted local sourdough. Don't forget to ask for their daily specials, they often have additions to the menu that only appear every few days or weeks, like the delicious "meatloaf" with mashed potatoes.

“Deliciously healthy!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 17, 2012

As a vegan it's hard to eat at most any restaurant except if you eat a salad. Sluggo's has a whole menu full of options that are not only healthy but VERY tasty. Every time we eat there I try a new dish and so far I haven't found a dish I haven't liked! I love the bohemian atmosphere too.
