This is a very good Mongolian Grill place. The sauces are what set Ghengis Grill apart from others. Be forewarned...the waiting is the hardest part. It can take a while to get seated, and the wait to make your dish can feel like a line at a refugee camp!
When you get in line you first hit your proteins. Load it up as this is where you will get most of your value! After that, you hit your seasonings. If you are the cook in your house, make sure you assist those who aren't with this step. I didn't watch my husband one time and he put a whole tablespoon of Cayenne on his meat "because I like stuff spicy." He barely made it through dinner (you don't get do-overs). After the seasonings you get your veggies. Use your tongs to cram the down into the bowl. Last, you pick your sauces. You can mix and match and get as many different types as you like. This is one of my favorite parts. If you are using one of the little spoons to sample a sauce, make sure you are not getting a spoon from the "discard" bin. Gross! And this area can get a little unkempt, so PLEASE be careful through here. Last you give your bowl to the guys and pick your starch. You can have rice or noodles. I like getting the rice and my husband likes getting the noodles. There may be another choice, but we cannot remember.
This is NOT a great choice if you have small children. The waiting is terrible for kids...particularly if you have to send one spouse through the line while the other waits with the kids and then repeat...you will be there for hours if you have to do that. But if your kids are able to go through the line with you then it will be lots of fun for them.
Occasionally we will get Mellow Mushroom Pizza for the kids and myself while my husband goes through the line and gets Genghis to go. Then we go eat at the picnic tables in back of the aquarium overlooking the river. Everyone gets what they want, and in a beautiful setting!
