“Great location & atmosphere, selection, & Philosopher burger”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

The Terminal is a local favorite; it is located in a 3-story building with a ton of character, features a large menu with an extensive selection of beer, and even has a brewery inside. I think it has one of the best burgers in town as well, one that is frequently overlooked when I hear others discuss who has the best burger.

Specifically I am talking about the Philosopher's Burger. Order it medium, and it will arrive grilled to mouth-watering perfection. The burger is ground lamb seasoned with cinnamon, oregano, shallots, and sea salt. It is served with feta aioli and candied red onions. And it is Good Lord good.

I make trips specifically for this burger. Starting the meal off with the FESTO bread is a great way to wait while your burger is prepared, and that brings up my final comment about the Terminal. If you put your name on the waitlist, they take your phone number and send you a confirmation text. You can then see your current wait time, modify or cancel your wait, or let them know you are on your way to check in if you are notified while away from the hostess stand. It's the first I've seen this system in Chattanooga, and it works well considering the Terminal's popularity and small waiting area.

“just average”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

Not really sure how to describe the food- it wasnt bar food but more of a poor effort to be a notch more upscale. It wasnt bad- it was just kinda "meh"

“Very good”
Reviewed January 6, 2014

Food was great, beer was pretty as well.

Service was excellent. We were a large party and seated right away. Server was very knowledgeable and even more important very fast, with drinks and checks.

I'll definitely go back and try the bison burger.

“craft brew, with excellent food, in a unique atmosphere”
Reviewed January 6, 2014

I tried The Terminal Brewhouse only because it was on the path of the free downtown shuttle system. The building is a rustic/classic feel, and was very enjoyable, almost intimate. I tried their Maibock and IPA, and both were terrific. The stuffed sandwiches are simply awesome (the whiskey baked beans were so tasty). You gotta try the stuffed sandwiches, they are a must have! I also purchased a keepsake pint glass (only $3). I will be back.

Busy, fun place. Sat upstairs with kids. Good service. Ordered: pork nachos & 3 different types of hot sandwiches. All delicious!! Good beer selection. Kids meal was huge! Affordable. We were happy with this pick and will come back!
