We chose this hotel so we would be close to Lookout Mountain/Incline Railway, and the National Park Battlefield. The hotel sits high on a hill and based on other T.A. reviews, we asked for a quiet room. The room was on a higher floor and quiet. The staff was excellent, especially the people who made breakfast in the morning....very personnable and prompt. We did drive into Chatanooga for dinner and had a great time at Big River Brewery. We don't usually have trouble with directions, but even the GPS seemed confused about the best way to get back to the hotel. This is a typical Fairfield and perfect for our one night/one day stay. The Visitor Center at the National Military Park (Chickamauga & Chattanooga) was beautiful and Park Rangers were excellent. Worth a visit!

Very modern looking hotel and the front desk staff was very helpful. Our stay was very comfortable. We stayed here on our way back from Disney. Didn't get to see any of the local attractions but we want to go back. The room was a King studio with a sofabed. Great for us because we have a teenage son. The living room area was divided by a half wall and he had his own TV and Ipod docking station. There was a refrigerator, microwave and small wet bar area. The bed was very comfortable and there was a second TV in that area. We stayed on the 3rd floor at the front of the hotel and had a nice view of the mountains in the morning. The breakfast staff was great 3 people stocking it because there were several teams there overnight. Breakfast was good nice variety. Want to go back and do Ruby Falls, Incline railway and the aquarium. Would stay here again.

We chose this hotel for its convenient location to Look Out Mountain which incidentally is superb especially if you take in all three attractions Ruby Falls, Rock City and the Inclined Raiway. However on reflection we should have chosen a downtown hotel as the town is very quiet and all the restaurants are located there.

The hotel itself is located on top of a hill above a very busy main highway and traffic noise can be heard in the rooms although not too loud. The hotel is modern, very clean and very friendly. The rooms were spacious and well equipped. The desk staff were very helpful in arranging a taxi to take us downtown to the Boat House Restaurant which is a great hotel on the side of the river. The taxi however was a broken down vehicle and the driver had 2 small children asleep in the back which meant we could not fasten all of our seat belts despite travelling along a major highway. The children were still with him on the return journey at 10:00pm although he did come in a bigger vehicle.

On checking out of the hotel we were unable to access our safety deposit box and after 45 mins when we did access the box we were horrified to find that it was empty. After further delay we eventually discovered our belongings in another box, which was opened by the same key !!!!. The receptionist had apparently switched boxes as our first box had a faulty lock but failed to tell us and was not on duty when we checked out.

The manager offered to compensate us for our trauma and 90 min delay by awarding us Marriott Points which seemed reasonable however these points were not forthcoming until we returned to the UK and badgered the Marriott Rewards people with a large number of e-mails.

A poor end to what was otherwise a nice stay. If you are not American visit Logans across the road for a really unusual peanut experience .
