Large Hunter Art Museum and Shop atop the bluff overlooking the river. Great View! Really wonderful restaurants, bakery, shops and other small museums to explore.

When I need to take a break I usually head to the art district to clear my head. Not only do you get to enjoy the art along the walk but it offers great views of the river and Chattanooga. Especially during the holiday season when lights can be seen throughout the city. There are many shops and cafes to visit as well as the Hunter Museum. It is often quiet and relaxing so that you sometimes do not realize you are near downtown. I definitely recommend this area to coffee lovers, art enthusiasts and history buffs but it offers a little something for everyone to enjoy.

Beautiful, chilled, peaceful air to walk around, lovely restaurants, I can go on and on. I feel that much more can be done here, it looks like little Italy.

There is an adorable cafe just at the start of the bridge to walk, make sure to stop there, I tell ya, one of the best best ice creams I have ever had. They have this funky machine and you pick your ice cream and the young and super friendly guy does magic with it, I think. I had TWO!

Nice coffee shops and restaurants and view...you can walk down to the bridge and cross the river or walk to downtown.
