Dont do it. Some ones underware left in bathroom.Spiders on wall.Leg broken off of end table.Burns on table and safety latch on door held on with one screw.Sheets to small for the bed.Paid 117.20 for room.Called later for price for same night the folling week and got a price of 79.95.When people got the underware out of room my wife happen to be comming up the stairs outside and the person who removed them from bathroom thought it was funny and was having a good time swinging them around for all his friends who work there to see.I have stayed in a lot of motels this was the highest priced and the worst I have seen. The work Quality should not even said on the premise.

Yuck--not clean, disgusting mini fridge (moldy), microwave (also moldy, & greasy) Whole place stunk of mold/dirt. Sheets would not stay on the rock-hard bed. Pillows were also hard lumps. Bathroom--well, I've seen many cleaner gas station bathrooms. Breakfast--almost afraid to eat the food, based on the state of the sleeping accomodation. However, breakfast room was cleaner anyway. "hot" food was biscuits, with gravy in a crockpot. I think they just dumped in cold gravy and put crock pot on warm. An hour after breakfast service started the stuff was just barely warm. Pastries were fresh. No water available in breakfast area. Indoor pool was "being renovated" and we were told we were welcome to use the pool at the hotel across the parking lot. That hotel had an even worse rating than this one. If we're ever in the Chattanooge area again, we will steer clear of this dump.

Chose this hotel for the location. We were just passing through Chattanooga on our way to Pigeon Forge. We wanted to see Lookout Mountain/Ruby Falls. The hotel is a hop, skip, and a jump to this attraction. If sitting at the outdoor pool area, you can see the mountain. Lovely mountain views from the parking lots of the hotel. Easy booking on Hotels.com. 2 queen beds (comfortable), microwave, small frige, and clean. Fast food and gas in parking lot. Felt safe in this location.

THE SCENE: My husband, dog, and I stayed here on January 12, 2006 during our roadtrip from Florida to Missouri. We chose this hotel because of it's convenient location near I-24, the reasonable price, it's pet-friendly, and breakfast is included.

ARRIVAL: We arrived at 5:00pm without a reservation and we were surprised to discover they only had 1 non smoking room left. We paid $79 for a nonsmoking room with 2 Queens. The front desk clerk was extremely friendly and helpful. She gave us recommendations for a nearby dinner (we chose to try Patricks, a local steakhouse/lounge that has live music) and went into detail about the area attractions. We decided to see Rock City in the morning before getting back on the road.

ROOM: We were given a room on the second floor near the front of the hotel. The room faced the highway and yes, you CAN hear the highway noise. This hotel is more of a motel- with exterior corridors. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that the hotel is under new management and they've recently completed some room updating! Specifically, new AC Unit, sheets/towels, new wall hangings, furniture, light fixtures, sink & countertops, completely new bathroom including shower curtain, flooring, tub and facets. The room also had a large TV, microwave and empty mini frig. The room was stocked with a hair dryer, iron and board, and coffee maker (circa 1980 unfortunately). Things that have NOT been updated and I'd recommend to the hotel, if asked, include carpeting, comforter, and doors. The improvements that HAVE been made were wonderful and made our stay quite comfortable and pleasant- especially since we were expecting a 'dive' hotel.

HOTEL BREAKFAST: I'd give the breakast a 3 star rating- it's just average. Yes, you can make belgian waffles. And they also have biscuits/gravy, some bread items like bagels and english muffins, cereals, and bananas. There's 2 choices of juice and caff. coffee. The lobby of the hotel is VERY nice so the setting is new and pleasant (they even have a large flat screen TV). However, I found the breakfast to be lacking in variety. I ate a biscuit with gravy and my husband had half a waffle. We ended up getting a late breakfast elsewhere. The Quality Inn's snack tied us over until after we visited Rock City.

NEARBY STUFF: The hotel is very close to the highway and area attractions. The Lookout mountain exit is 2 exits away from the hotel. There are 2 fast food joints that basically share the parking lot with the hotel (Hardees and McDs). If you don't like the hotel, there's a Comfort Inn and Suites next door. There's a huge Walmart and Cracker Barrel within a mile of the hotel as well.

OVERALL: I'd highly recommend this hotel. It's affordable and nearly new since the renovations. I wouldn't hesitate staying here again (especially since it's a pet friendly hotel!).

This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had.

First, the hotel had a few bugs/roaches in the room here and there. No big deal. But the big deal is this: My mother came to visit on my 3rd night there. I got her a room adjacent to mine. It happened to be a king bed with jacuzzi. We checked in, and then the front desk came by and said there had been a mistake. She had gotten a jacuzzi room ($89) for the regular price ($59). We didn't want to pay the extra money, so we packed up her stuff and temporarily moved it into my room while the staff found her a room. 1 hour later the staff stated that she could move back into the same room for $59. We then signed a written contract to get that room that night for $59. Well, my mom moved back in. At 3 AM the phone rang. It was the hotel desk telling her that they had again made a mistake and wanted her to move back out of the room. She told them no, and that she would settle it in the morning. A few minutes later she was awakened to the sounds of hotel employees trying to key into her room. She would not unlatch the deadbolt. The phone rang again and they told her that someone had made a mistake renting the room to her. She again told them that she was not prepared to deal with it at 3 in the morning and would take care of it later.

Needless to say, that morning we checked out of the hotel. The kicker was that they had agreed to rent the room for that rate. When we checked out, they again tried to get the $89 out of her. We refused to pay and will never again stay at a quality inn.

My family and I (includes two children) stayed here in order to enjoy the fall colors around Chattanooga. We arrived Saturday afternoon (11/5/2005) and left the next Sunday morning. Overall, the stay was good. The rooms were average in relation to cleanliness. The small refrigerator and microwave were better than expected, as the fridge was twice the size of those "cube" type refrigerators offered at some moderate-priced motels. The bed comfort was fair, but not bad.

The indoor pool was a good size, with depth ranging from 3 ft to 5 ft (no diving). Our children enjoyed the very warm water temperature (felt like a warm bath), but I though it was a bit too warm from my liking (like a very mild jaccuzi). The pool area was clean, but no extra towels available.

The best part of the stay was the continental breakfast we had Sunday morning, which was complimented by an OUTSTANDING motel staff member named Eric. He was handling the duties of the front desk as well as keeping the breakfast area VERY clean and well-stocked. His customer service skills were simply amazing! He was very cordial and accomodating and made the stay a very good one. The breakfast included VERY good make-your-own waffles (but DON'T let the kids do it - very hot surface), a big pot of gravy, lots of pastry choices, milk, cereal, orange juice, apple juice, and fruit (apples).

I would recommend this motel. Very close to Lookout Mountain access, too!
