“Great Hotel for the price”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

We were looking for a hotel in teh Lookout Mountain area and in reading reviews on other hotels in this price range I choose the Ramada. I was not disappointed. Large King size bed, micorwave, refrigerator, flat screen TV. It was exactly what I was looking for and the right price. It did come with a complementary breakfast which we choose to skip....it looked good but too many carbs. We went to Cracker Barrell which is within walking distance of room. Need to add some fresh fruit. The only other comment is that we were in a smoking room (by choice) and it would have been nice to have a chair outside the room so that my fiance could have sat outside and smoked.
If ever in the area again or someone i coming down there..would definitely recommend this hotel.

I failed to make a reservation for Chattanooga, though I knew this is where I would stop halfway between Tampa and St. Louis. The Days Inn wanted $72.00 before taxes, when I stopped there to check rate and availability. The Baymont Inn was $85.00 on hotels.com. So I stopped at the Ramada Limited on Birmingham Hwy. off of I-24 in Chattanooga, which is close to the Days Inn and Baymont Inn. $59.00 for a queen size bed, non-smoking room, on the 2nd floor, in a separate building(from the main building), which was $70.00 after taxes. Room was clean, wireless internet worked good, bed comfortable. Reminded me alot of the Red Roof Inn rooms, but alittle better appointed furnishings. Price should be closer to $45 or $49 before taxes.
Free breakfast. Coffee good. Waffle maker, sausage gravy, and some muffins. No fruit.
Like I said, "OK".

Room Tip: If they put u in the separate building, which is detached from the main building, don't get a ro...

Stayed one night at the Ramada Limited. Room was small. The bathroom was not the cleaniest: it smelled of bleach and cigarette smoke, but was a non-smoking room. The airconditioning unit was load and did not work quite right. We arrived late, so did not tell the front desk until checkout. The breakfast area was too crowded to eat in the morning so we did not eat breakfast at the hotel. The man working the front desk (Amish) at check in and check out was very friendly, but I would not recommend this hotel to travelers.

We had an event in downtown Chatanooga. The hotels downtown were nearly twice as expensive . This hotel was still pricey even though it was 10 miles out. Very very small "breakfast " area and inferior food. The waffle maker undercooked the waffles, the juice machine had room temperature juice. (not sure it would pass a health inspection) a toaster was handy...but nothing to put in it.. We moved a chair to find remnants of a juice bottle and loads of crumbs on the floor.

To sum it up, this place is HORRIBLE! We thought we were getting a good deal for the money but as it turns out, we feel like we got ripped off! The website pictures were definitely MISLEADING to say the least.

First, upon check-in we were charged $20 more than our reservation had stated. But the young lady was nice about it. Second, the outside appearance of the hotel reminded of us a dirty "roach motel". Before we even got to the room, we were disappointed. Third, the back building upstairs hallway was extremely hot, moist, and smelled horribly of smoke. There was little to no parking, and the broken ice machine and refrigerators outside made for a very trashy look.

Our FIRST room had a sloppy made bed, a dirty blanket, long black hairs all over the pillows, and it smelled terrible. We asked to be moved and the young lady switched us, no problem. When we went to the next room, we got nasty looks from the cleaning staff who were in the hall. But thankfully, the SECOND room at least had a clean bed. Still, the smell was no better and the tiny bathroom made us feel claustraphobic. As to not give this place any credit, I will say the king size bed was pretty comfy.

The indoor pool was green and cloudy; I wouldn't even stick a toe in there! And to navigate around the pool was pretty scary. Rowdy children splashing water all around made for a very slick walking experience. And also the ONLY ice machine was located in there. Very inconvenient.

The so-called "hot continental" breakfast was a joke! No eggs, no gravy, OJ dispenser was broken, stale biscuits, stale cereal, and the waffle machine looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days. The tables were filthy. And the man working that morning was very rude, dirty in appearance and spent more time pulling up his sagging pants than maintaining the breakfast area. We actually felt like the walk over was a complete waste of our time!

Recommendation: Stay at the Super 8, Baymont, or Fairfield hotels! They are literally right next door to this hotel and worth the few extra dollars that you THINK you are saving at the Ramada. There were 2 good things about this place, location to Lookout Mtn. and the restaurants next door; Wafflehouse & Crackerbarrel. But that's about it!

Room Tip: Here's a tip, choose another hotel! This place is gross.

My husband and I stayed here for one night as we drove from Florida to Ohio. We had our two, 70 lb chocolate labs with us and decided to stay here because they had no breed or weight restrictions, although there was an additional $15 per night fee for each dog. We checked in around 7:00 PM and the check-in process was quick and easy. There is a nice green space for the dogs right next to the hotel (leading down to the Cracker Barrel restaurant next door) which was very convenient for "potty time" with the dogs.

The location is close to Lookout Mountain and the attractions there. We were about a five minute drive from the Mountain and Point Park. Rock City and Ruby Falls are there as well. Downtown Chattagoona is about a 10 minute drive from the hotel.

The hotel room was average, nothing outstanding but nothing horrifying. We knew not to expect anything fancy and were therefore not disappointed when we arrived. We wanted something inexpensive that could accommodate our dogs and were not concerned with luxury during this stay. This hotel was the right fit for this.

Check-out in the morning was a little slow but this was due to the fact that there was only one employee working the front desk. He was in charge of check-outs as well as stocking the breakfast area. An additional staff member would have sped things up. Overall, though, it was not too big of a problem. Although we did not eat the breakfast, it appeared to be a good breakfast spread: Biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, pastries, coffee, juice.

The biggest problem I had with this hotel was that we could hear the people above us walking around all night. The walls and floors were quite thin so if you are a light sleeper, this could be a problem. My husband stated that he did not sleep well because he was so worried that one of our dogs would bark and it would wake up the people on either side of us and above us.

Overall, if we had to pass through Chattanooga again, we would probably stay at the Ramada Limited again, but only because of their open-door pet policy. If you are bringing your furry babies with you, consider this hotel.

I stayed at the Ramada Limited in the Lookout Valley area of Chattanooga recently for three nights while myself and a friend explored the area's attractions. Upon arriving, we noticed that some of the rooms were outside-access rooms. Luckily, we were in a room in the second floor of the main building (there is a separated, unattached building behind the main one). However, to access our second-floor room we had to walk through a very humid pool area and up stairs (not a big deal to us, but something to consider before making your reservation). The room was typical of a budget hotel and contained two twin beds, a refrigerator, small microwave and dim lighting. The bathroom was very, very small and might make some feel a bit claustrophobic. With all of that said, the room was still acceptably clean and had a TV with a decent selection of channels. The in-room WI-FI was just fine, until the last night of our stay-it just wouldn't allow our laptop to stay connected. The walls were some of the thinnest i've ever witnessed, as I was able to hear most of the people around us. The continental breakfast was very small, but hey, it's a complimentary breakfast. The front desk employees seemed friendly.

Overall, my stay at the Ramada Limited was underwhelming but I can't complain too much as it served our purposes and wasn't too tough on the wallet.

Room Tip: Try to get a room in the main building, or you'll find yourself having to cross a parking lot to...
