Stayed at this hotel for a ball tournament, and it was ok. If it hadn't been for the promotion that Choice hotels was running at the time, I probably would have picked a better place to stay.

Positives first:
Beds were extremely comfortable
Good Location within walking distance of several restaurants
Close to the interstate so I really didn't have a lot of traffic to deal with
Rooms were clean decent at check in (we only used towel service after that)

Negatives:
Poor Security - back door to the hotel and pool area are not locked. The pool area faces the road so any "Joe Blow" can walk off the street into the pool area and into the hotel. We didn't need our key card for any door. This was a concern for me especially since my room was right by the pool.

Ice Machines didn't work

Front Desk staff wasn't particulary friendly. One staff person was outside smoking and I saw a customer just standing at the desk. When we approached her later about the ice machine, she maybe gave one word where it was and we told her it wasn't working, she seemed to care less.

Toilets are better suited for a preschool not a hotel room. Very low to the ground.

No laundry facilities - this might only be a big deal for me since I was there for a 4 day ball tournament and needed to wash uniforms. I ended up washing my daughter's uniforms and hung them by the pool to dry.

Again all I can say about this hotel, is OK! Unless Choicehotels is offering a promotion that you feel you can cash in on, then stay at one of the other hotels right near this one because it really isn't worth the money again unless you can cash in on a promotion.

Room Tip: Unless you are cashing on a promotion with choicehotels, stay somewhere else

Both the staff at check in and check out could have been more friendly. The pool was bigger than I expected and the hot tub was a nice bonus. The pool area felt a little stuffy but it was indoors. I didn't get a Suite but the regular room was pretty nice. The bedroom with 2 queen beds felt much bigger than a King size bedroom. The shower was bigger than expected which was nice. The 5th floor offered a decent view but there wasn't much shopping or eating nearby. Breakfast was the usual waffles/eggs/sausage, fruit/cereal/pastries. I would stay here again if it was just for a couple nights.

The hotel was very nice and clean. Modernly appointed. The breakfast area was well stocked and maintained by a hostess. There was a variety of cold and hot offerings including waffles, eggs, and bacon. Hours: 6:30am to 9:30am.

Pool was closed. Do not know why. It was warm enough to swim.

Some things to improve on:

More towels! We were given two of each sort of towel. That's really not enough for most people.

Hand rails! There was no hand safety rail in the shower. The shower/tub was a unit set in so the tub floor was actually higher than the bathroom floor. It was tricky to step out, especially with nothing to hold on to.

There was a pullout sofa but no extra bedding or sheets in the room.

Something really odd was the toilet. The toilet was the smallest toilet I have ever seen outside of a preschool. It was nearly impossible to sit on!

Room Tip: Rooms on level 1 would be by the breakfast area and the lobby and the housekeeping area.....noisy.

We had a nice and quiet stay. Room was clean and the bathroom had new tile and a new shower. The breakfast was good, but the area is a little crowded. The lady working the breakfast area was very nice. Would stay here again!

There are literally over 20 hotels within a few miles of this place. We have stayed here a few times on our road trips because it is clean, nice helpful staff and the breakfast is more attractive than the average hotel. It includes hot foods such as bacon, eggs and biscuits and gravy as well as all the usual things. The pillows are great and they supply 8 per room. Get a coupon in one of the roadside hotel books for the best price. I wouldnt pay there rack rate of 110 but I will pay 69 for the nights stay. Good all around hotel

I have rarely seen a harder working staff - - particularly Roberta, who does breakfast - - but the physical facility is so shopworn as to disappoint almost any traveler. For example, the secure entrances from the parking area have broken locks and stay unsecured at all hours. This is particularly troublesome at the second floor entrance from the parking deck, where anyone can enter the hotel undetected night or day. Much of the hotel has a sweet deodorant smell to mask the real smell of the place. When cleaned, the hotel seems to get a broad brush approach, with the little details left undone. My room had a large spot on the tile bathroom floor when I checked in. It was still there two days later. So were the dirty spots in the hard-to-get-to corners. New carpet had been installed in the corridors, but the installers had left long stringy threads protruding from the seams.
It is a shame. This is a great location with almost everything nearby. But that includes 20 or 30 other hotels at competitive prices, including many that are clean and not quite so used up.

Room Tip: Go someplace else

I am very please with our 5 day stay. Room was clean and neat. Big screen LCD with cable.
Free internet.Free Coffee 24/7. Breakfast was complete with eggs, bacon, sauages, grits, biscuts, cereal, coffee, juice, fruit, yogart and more. Friendly service and plenty of local resturants and fast food places. Shopping malls and places of interest and site seeing. This hotel was a great value. Easy parking!

The hotel has all the ammenities one forgets like tooth paste, shampoo, conditioner, deoderant and more.Best sleep we ever had at a hotel. The rooms were quite. All the staff was polite and friendly making the stay pleasant.

We travel offen and stay at many hotel chains. But, we found a home away from home and intend to seek out a Comfort Inn to stay at from now on. This will be the first place Irecommend
when asked about a hotel to stay at to everyone.

Room Tip: If you need something just ask the front desk, they will help you.
