We were really impressed with the aquarium. It is both more fun and more informative than the GA Aquarium here in Atlanta. Everything from the architecture to the exhibits and even the surrounding plaza with its water features (filled with children when we were there) were incredible. The river building was my favorite. While some of the exhibits show rivers of the World, many thematically follow the rivershed from the Smoky Mountains on down. This included an amazing swamp environment complete with birds and turtles. And by the way, this aquarium is heaven for turtle lovers. Not only are there turtles included in the various environments, there is also a turtle gallery with more info on their structure and adaptations.

This is a nice place if you like aquariums. Tell the story of the Tennessee river from the start in the mountians to the end.

Plenty to see...takes about 1 hour each, maybe longer if you're taking kids. We got a combo ticket at Rock City

The aquarium is split into two parts, Rivers and Oceans. We liked the River side a lot better. The gorunds where this is located are great to let children run around and play in the water, the view of the river behind the building is nice also. We saw a few exhibits here that we have not seen in other large aquariums and it was worth the visit.

My family had a great time at the aquarium. Both buildings offer plenty to observe and see. We enjoyed the "Taking with Penguins" and the "Birds" shows. They were very enjoyable and informative.
We purchased iMax tickets as well and really enjoyed the Artic movie. Great time for our family!
