I had been to Ruby Falls when I was a kid and believe that one time is enough. Coming back as an adult it was a nice experience but far less thrilling than I remember. The walk to the falls was nice however the actual time spent at the falls was totally disappointing. We went on a holiday weekend so it was very crowded in the tunnels, VERY crowded, (I would advise not visiting on a holiday unless you want to be squeezed very tightly up against a cave wall while other groups pass repeatedly). After walking what seemed like a mile to the falls we circled behind the falls and took literally TWO pictures before they shut off the lights and we were in total darkness ( the signal that it's time to head back). After all that walking I thought we might get to at least have five minutes to enjoy the scenery but it literally seemed more like 1 minute! Maybe it was because of the holiday weekend though. However if you have already seen this I would save my money for sure!
