The good news: the staff is very nice and friendly. The buffets are really good. The lake is nice and so is the pool.

The bad news: the room needs a really deep cleaning to remove grime and dust from the vents (see attached photo). The room smelled somewhat musty. The carpets are dirty. The walls need to be painted.

The room needed some repairs. They did send someone up to fix our sliding glass door, so that we could open it. They couldn't do anything about the screen door which was torn so badly that we couldn't use it without bugs flying in.

hello, our family went to paris landing state park over the Labor Day Weelend and stayed in one of there cabins and it was great. The cabins have plenty of room and they were very very clean. The view from the cabin was wonderful. You could see the lake and also see the wildlife. We went on a nature walk and saw deer and birds and ducks. It was very relaxing and we will go back as soon as possible. Also the service was wonderful from the workers that worked at the state park. very friendly and nice. If you want a relaxing weekend you need to try this state park.

My husband and I spent four nights (June 15-19) at the Paris Landing Hotel with his parents for his Dad's WW-2 armey reunion. We checked in with some trouble as the flustered desk clerk could not find rooms together for us and I made these reservations 7 months ago. I had requested a handicapp room for my in-laws and the room was not convenient for handicapped people to get to as it was way down a long hall from the elevator. Not an easy location to get to if you are handicapped. Our rooms were in two different buildings which made it inconvenient for us to help my in-laws as they are handicapped. The rooms are the typical basic hotel room and are all the same offering two double beds, small bathroom with toilet and bath/shower and the sink in the room outside the bathroom. The beds were okay, not the most comfortable. The best thing about these rooms is the balcony as all rooms have them and face the lake at different angles. The room is spacious with a cable TV and coffee maker in the room. This hotel is a very busy place and heavily used by groups. The biggest negative about this hotel was all the large groups of kids, mostly teenagers that were wandering about the hotel being noisy and loitering in the hallways even late at night which made it hard to get to sleep before midnight. There were lots of small candy wrappers and other small litter around the common areas around the elevators and hallways that stayed there the whole entire day and next morning before staff cleaned it up. This litter I think the kids running around did that. But the staff was slow in finally getting around to cleaning it up. There is a restaurant on the second level with a very large buffet and a small menu. It is most popular for it's large buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner at a reasonable price. The food is country style cooking. There is a nice pool at the back of the hotel facing the lake but again full of noisy kids during the day. If you are traveling with kids or large groups this seems to be the place to go but if you are traveling among adults and want a peaceful vacation I would go in the off season when all the kids are back in school.
