From rushing around in the City of London to arriving here, what a difference, just what the doctor ordered. There is the village of Lonley L'Abbaye where we walked to (approx 1hr. each way) had a pleasant cafe for a cold beer. The abbey is interesting as are the grounds.
Domfront, another interesting town to visit for its castle and church. Domfront is also the main town for supplies.
The whole area is quiet and peaceful and well worth a visit.
This beautiful french house exceeded our expectations for our break away.
It was home from home, great location peaceful and quiet.a drive from shops and the nearest town.
The house is very relaxing but full of things to do if required, lots of games, films and puzzles and a bbq.
We will be booking again!
I love this part of France. This area is very quiet and picturesque but only 20 minutes from some of the bigger towns. Plenty of markets and places to shop within a short driving distance. The house itself is quite isolated but when my family visited was great, plenty of space to play games and spread out. Lots of nice walks around. Beaches are about an hour away. This includes the D Day beaches which are fascinating. If you enjoy cooking the kitchen is well set out. The supermarkets in fleurs have plenty of local produce and lots of excellent wine. If you do go make a point of visiting the biscuit factory and tasting the lovely biscuits. It's a good place to take children to show how to reuse waste products.
A very characterful house in a peaceful location in rural Normandy. Good outside area for barbeques and outdoor dining. There are plenty of attractive towns and villages in the area with good restaurants. The seaside is within easy reach.
There were plenty of good walks in the area and the wild flowers were amazing.
