We were on our road trip when we exited off of I-40 to here and needed rest. We pulled up to their parking lot and we relaxed a bit. I saw a gentleman walk out with a cup of coffee, which was what we needed. After we were finished resting, we went inside- we had absolutely no idea what we came in for! But this is the good part- we saw a gift shop, 3 museums, and very clean restrooms! Best part is- the entry is free! The staff were nice too. There was also a map showcasing where people came from visiting here. There is also the Sleepy John Estes home outside. The Flagg Grove School where Tina Turner attended was recently moved here and they are raising money to restore it! You cannot pass this one by. I recommend that you stop by if you are thinking of doing so. :)

We stayed in the hotel across the street from here. There are a few nice things you can purchase in the store. The museum was pretty interesting. This place is worth stoping one time to look at. Check out the little house in the back of the parking lotals before leaving. In the near future Tina Turner's elementary school will be moved to this site also.

The West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center is a great place to stretch your legs. Their Bathrooms are always clean, and the staff is always friendly. We stop there every time we are traveling I-40. Best Part is is Free & So much better than the normal rest stops, I think they even offer free coffee. There is a Museum there that has information about West Tennessee. A great Place to pick-up travel brochures & even visit their gift shop. ***I highly recommend the West Tennessee Delta Heritage Center!!!****
