Very friendly, comfortable, enjoyable B&B we've had the privilege to stay in. We highly recommend if you're in the area, please stay there! It will be one of your most delightful experiences!

My wife and I stayed two nights while visiting The Hermitage and the surrounding area. My wife and a friend had stayed here two years ago, and never forgot how much they enjoyed it. In the interim the original operating couple has returned to take over from her now-retired parents. Lisa is one of those born hosts who never has met a stranger, and she makes you feel at home five minutes after your arrival. The house is roomy, bright, and sits on spacious property. We saw deer each morning browsing in the backyard while we browsed on a scrumptious gourmet breakfast. We stayed in the Brentwood room. It's a little more expensive, but the quiet location and private outdoor second-floor deck make it well worthwhile. It has a large recently remodeled bathroom with a stall shower as well as a Jacuzzi, a generous closet, and ample sink and counter space. The bed is very comfortable, and there is a ceiling fan. The house has wireless as well as Ethernet high-speed (1.5 KB) internet throughout, and there is a television in a closed armoire. Unlike some B&B's here the public rooms truly are, and there is coffee, soft drinks, and snacks (Toll House cookies!) available any time. This is a place where you can take a book and a glass of wine into the living room, and just relax without feeling that you are intruding in any way. Between the pleasant room, the delightful chaise lounge and table/chairs on the deck, and the living room, it was hard to leave for the day's activities.

Brentwood is a wonderful neighborhood with lots of restaurants at all points on the spectrum. Lisa keeps a collection of local menus and if you're planning a special dinner out, let her make suggestions and a reservation when you call.

The house has a robust central HVAV system which made the house very comfortable day and night.

Lisa and her husband manage to find the perfect balance for B&B hosts: always there when you want them to be, but never, ever intrusive. The house is extraordinarily well-maintained, very clean, but somehow always feels relaxed and homey.

We were delighted by our stay.

The home was beautiful and grounds were well kept. Our room was clean and the large bath was a plus. The owners were gracious and very helpful with area attractions.
We felt very welcome and cannot say enough about the breakfast, which was served late on the weekend! It is about 15-20 minutes from Opry mills and will be a regular stop anytime we return to Nashville.

I stayed at the Brentwood for one night, while traveling through Tennessee. When I made my reservation with Lisa, I asked for a very quiet, away-from-the-crowd room. She gave me the Nashville, which was just fine for me. A really comfortable king bed, TV with a good variety of channels, complimentary chocolates and toiletries. There is a bit of traffic noise from this room, but with the windows closed it isn't a bother...heard nothing at all from other guests.
The inn itself is beautiful...an open, elegant breakfast room, hardwood floors, antiques and pretty things to look at everywhere. I noticed nice little touches, like a binder chock full of local restaurant menus. They have a great selection of coffee and tea (including my favorite, Irish Breakfast Tea), and fresh cookies. What they did NOT seem to have was dirt. The inn was spotlessly clean.
Lisa, Emily, and Bud were all friendly and quick to make me feel at home. Breakfast was tasty indeed, and so artfully arranged that I wanted to take a picture of it before I ate it! Lisa sat and chatted with us during breakfast, and then gave us an informal tour of her gardens out back.
As a solo female traveler, I felt very comfortable here. I will definitely stay here again the next time I pass through the area.

We have stayed here twice. Both times have been wonderful. It is very clean and furnished beautifully. The owners are helpful and pleasant to talk with. They had cookies and refreshments available at all times. The breakfast was nicely prepared and plentiful. The neighborhood is beautiful and a great place to explore. Lots to do in Nashville. We will go again. I didn't like the envelopes left out in the room inviting us to leave a tip.

My wife and I stayed at the Brentwood over Valentines night for a concert at the Wildhorse Saloon. We stayed in the Arrington and could not be more pleased. The breakfast was wonderful and Lisa was quite a help. Thanks and God Bless.... Keith and Christie

The Brentwood B&B is a very nice place to stay if visiting Nashville, Tennessee. The area is a suburban one, easily reached from the center of Nashville via I-65.

The owners, the Rusches, are very gracious and patient. Mrs. Rusche showed me a route to get to the center city which was more scenic as well as faster than I-65 itself.

The rooms are also very well set for the Internet.

  • Liked — Convenience and Beauty of the Location
  • Disliked — Not everyone wants a rubber ducky in the bathroom!
