Lake Ocoee Inn & Marina
Certificate of Excellence

I was born in Ocoee, and live in Michigan now. But my heart is down there. I have stayed at the motel with a variety of people(friends, family),and they all love it. It is so peaceful and serene, and brings back some fond memories. Owners and management are so awesome. They are always very helpful. I go a couple times a year, and they always find a way to accommodate me and my health issues, and make me feel special. This year I am gonna go for a couple months. Need I say more?

I was looking forward to spending the night at the Lake Ocoee Inn and then rafting the next day. The inn was old and tired looking - which was ok. However, our room was a bit on the not-so-nice side. The carpet felt "crusty"; the room smelled like musty mold; beds were lumpy and the bathroom was just ok. We were very disappointed. The only upside was the bed linen - very clean, very fresh. The inn's restaurant was good.

Then for rafting the next day the inn didn't offer any sort of breakfast - no breakfast service at the restaurant! We had to drive several miles to a Hardee's. If they're going to offer morning rafting which departs from their marina they should offer some sort of breakfast.

Next time, if there is one, we'll look into the cabins.

The weekend we spent at the Ocoee was great! We rafted Saturday afternoon, showered at the outpost and headed to our cabin. This place will take you back in time. We stayed in Cabin 7. It is old, maybe built in the 40s or before. But it was the neatest, most intimate place! The deck overlooks the lake. There was a grill and an ample kitchen area. The bathroom was small, but enough. Everything about the place was clean, and it was "enough". It wasn't luxurious or extravagant in any way.....but it reminded me of summers spent on the river. I had the most nostalgic feeling. We loved it. In addition to a bed in the main area (full-size or "double" I would call it), there is a set of bunk beds too. In the area, everything is relatively close by. (Rafting, Zipline, Ropes, and Restaurants). We plan to bring our kids back here one summer weekend soon!

we have stayed in cabin 8, 15, and 17, and have loved them all. absolutely the most beautiful location, and the friendliest people ever!!! you can't beat the prices either and if you do...it most likely will lack in other areas. the ocoee inn & marina is the most wonderful place to just get away and relax. i won't ever vacation anywhere else. this place has it all, everything we could ever ask for and hope for in a vacation destination!!!!!!!!!

This is an old style roadside motel right out of the 1960's. Great location right on the lake, it's the only motel around for miles. We have stayed in cabins # 7 and 8 had a great time. Both of these cabins have a deck overlooking the lake. We rented a pontoon boat from the marina and pulled it up to the dock right in front of the cabin. Haven't stayed in any of the motel units so can't comment on those.

Cabin #7 is like a studio, it has a good sized living area with two beds and a sitting area and a small kitchen. Nice wood paneling inside. Cabin #8 is much larger but is divided into several small bedrooms, small dining area and a kitchen. It has one room with two bunkbeds. I think this cabin is advertised to sleep 6-8 people but there is only one small bathroom. These two cabins are rustic, think old style fish camp. The ceilings are low, the furniture is old and mismatched and the floor may not be exactaly level in some places but they were clean and comfortable. We thought it was fun and relaxing and actually enjoyed the uniqueness of it.

If you are rafting the river then their rafting shop is right there. The bus upriver leaves right from the motel. Great swimming in the lake and I recommend renting a pontoon boat and exploring. Cruise along the shoreline and look for rope swings.

Room Tip: Cabins # 7 and #8 are right on the lake. Both have decks overlooking the lake and a pier for swimmi...

I was supposed to stay here for two nights while white water eating w/ friends. The location was pretty good and although the place has a nice view of the lake, the rooms were probably the worse I have ever been in. Dingy, humid, muggy, cramped....just really terrible. We checked in and checked right out. Stay away from here!
