The location is amazing, with stunning views in all directions, the best of which is from the kitchen window across the sea towards Kneep sands. For bird lovers, you can watch the many coming and goings from Loch Roag , which is at the bottom of the garden. The cottage has everything you need for a peaceful, relaxing holiday. Light the wood burner and listen to the sheep bleating outside or maybe the wind playing a tuneful song. If the weather permits, sit outside and watch the sun go down over the Atlantic....Now that's what I call bliss.
Beautiful and well maintained cottage. Wonderful views and setting. Great welcome from the owner. For those who love outdoors and natural beauty an excellent starting point for visits around the island.
Atlantic Cottage has a bright, fresh interior. It is very clean and the kitchen has good facilities - with decent quality crockery, glassware and pans - much better than many rentals.
My stay was in the second week of November and about half the days were very windy, as expected. The central heating kept the rooms warm with the exception of the kitchen, where the radiator is too small - however leaving the door open between the lounge and kitchen largely solved that problem. I did not use the stove in the lounge.
The best views are from the kitchen and utility room, there is little to see from the lounge except a bank of rising ground. One can walk on much of the adjacent croft land, as it belongs to the cottage owners. It is an isolated spot but then that is what many people go to Lewis to enjoy, I would strongly recommend this cottage to people wanting a quiet, scenic place to stay.

A warm and comfortable cottage with scenic views. Lovely to relax In after a day touring or if the weather is bad.
The coastal walk from the cottage to Bostadh Beach and the Iron Age house is well worth doing. A visit to the Calanish Stones ( excellent tea- room) on the way to the Butt of Lewis is a must.
Also recommended the Stornaway Black Pudding, and Kippers from the local smokery.
this is a very beautiful place which is quiet . The owners stay nearby and they are / were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this property to stay in,

Atlantic View is located in a very peaceful and quiet corner of the Outer Hebrides, there is little noise or light pollution and so relaxing in the property is very easy. The cottage is well appointed and nicely presented. The cake was a nice touch - thank you. We both enjoyed our stay immensely.

We had a great stay at the cottage, warmly welcomed by Anne, with great recommendations of what to do in the area. We enjoyed the beautiful coastal walk on the island (and managed a swim!) and ate some great food, all from locally made produce. It was well worth the drive and the ferry journey, such a special part of the world.
