“Will not be my first choice again.”
Reviewed August 4, 2012

They messed up my reservation. I had required a first floor room with an outside entrance and I got second floor. They wouldn't move me or refund my room. I vacation by riding my motorcycle and a first floor and outside entrance are very, very important to me. The price was high for the quality of the room. They did have a decent breakfast but not worth price of the room. I won't be staying here again.

My husband, 18 year old daughter and I stayed here while traveling through South Dakota. We were simply lookin for a clean place to stay on a road trip and this fit the bill. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It is an older hotel, basic but it was what I expect for a Best Western. The beds were rather hard to us but the room was clean as well as the bathroom. Great water pressure for the shower. The water was extremely soft and was warm as it comes from the limestone in the area.

We didn't use the pools. Air condintioning in the room was good, but our door didn't want to click shut and they locked the room where you could get ice.
Breakfast was just ok, there was no protein really, and it was busy. There was little seating so we went back to our room to each. Typical continental type breakfast.

Two out of the three of us would stay here again.

Room Tip: we stayed on an upper floor on the end but away from the road. It was quiet and away from kids runn...

We stayed two nights in room 252. It has a fridge and a microwave and two queen beds. Old tube type TV, small bathroom. No complaints for this level of facility; a nice room with a few amenities thrown in.

One of those amenities was the hot tub and two pools, one outdoor and one indoor. The other was the breakfast. Nothing fancy but in addition to the typical cereal and pastry continental breakfast, they had sausage gravy and biscuits (something I could eat every morning if my waist could handle it).

If we come back, we will definitely try Best Western again.

I would stay in a different motel if travelling through this area. We stayed in room 230 and the room smelled of urine. This was a first floor room and we could hear every footstep from the room above as well as the television next door. All available rooms were very pricey. No microwave or fridge. Positives include a nice fitness area (although it is closed between 10 pm and 6 am), clean and bright breakfast area.

We stayed here 1 night and was a little disappointed. We had about 5 flies in our room. 3 of them were killed by us in the room which to me is uncalled for. Not sure if the maids when cleaning the room leaves the doors open but not a good start off by entering your room. Also, the Best Western is a pet-friendly hotel but letting your pet do their job in the area the hotel told us to go was not the best place. We stayed in a corner room bottom floor and had to walk our dog all the way at the other end of the hotel and in the back of an alley. Thought if you had a pet area to do their job, you need to have the people stay closer to that area than we were. Our dog could not make it that far and had to do his job on the asphalt. Also, thought the room was a little outdated and pricey for what you pay.

The continental breakfast area and food was good. Did not go to the pool but looked very nice.

Room Tip: If you have a pet, you need to stay closer to the pet area. Might ask about that.

We found this motel clean and comfy and close to Wall Drug.
The price was a little over the top but I believe most of the hotel/motels in the area are about the same price range.
The front desk were nice and helpful.
The parking lot was a little tight.
The breakfast was average, my 6 year old really enjoyed their french toast.
We would stay here again.

No fridge, room smelled of smoke ( non smoking room) and not very friendly service. Could hear guests upstairs well into night . Check in slow and awkward. Room with shower / toilet cramped.
