“Fun for all ages”
Reviewed September 7, 2013 via mobile

We are local and the kids beg to come here for a day of fun. It is fun to feed the fish and walk along the talks. The historic buildings are entertaining and the staff very patient with teaching the children.

“Free and Fun!”
Reviewed September 3, 2013

What a great and informative place to visit. How nice to wander through the grounds, seeing the trout and learning about the Hatchery. We visited late evening so sadly the museum was closed but still felt we had a wonderful experience.

“In town for 2 days & visited twice!”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

Our B&B owner suggested we stop, and we did so in the late afternoon on our first day in town. We loved the displays and the trout tanks as well as meeting with the advocates who are working to save the site from a federal shut down.(oh, no). We returned the 2nd day to actually feed the fish, as we hadn't and regretted it, and make sure we saw everything not he property. We would have missed the RR car, and it was very cool. We also liked taking an early evening walk along the creek either way from the site. What a local gem. I hope they can keep it open. We signed the petition and donated $ in the donation boxes and hope you do too.

“Great visit”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

Inexpensive and wonderful visit. About $2 for large bag of fish food and we loved feeding the baby and full grown fish. Easy to spend 1-2 hours.

“Great preservation and history”
Reviewed August 23, 2013

Unlike most fish hatcheries, this is a museum and it is well maintained. Volunteers run the tours and gift shop. It is definitely worth the time to visit it. Well displayed and interesting train car and museum. Booth house is nice, too.
