The park is divided into two areas for RV's. Play area on one side and a non-play area on the other. The entire park is paved. They have tennis courts. A nice pool that includes 2 small hot tubs and a kidde pool. The store is stocked with everything imaginable, including lots of gift ideas. The wifi was knocked out due to a hail storm and but was fixed a week later during our second visit. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were placed next to the play area which was great for our children. They have cabins and restrooms but we never used them so I can't speak on those. Our site was level and the grounds throughout the park and around our site were well-maintained. We were glad that we stayed and would return again.

Room Tip: If you are in an RV, Camper or 5th wheel and don't want to be around kids, choose sites on the o...

We stayed there for a PAID company picnic and the general manager came out right when we got there and told us she has two major events going on today that we had to be out of the picnic area at 2:45 because there was a wedding then a family reunion she was very rude the way she told us saying things like "depending on how you act is if we will let you do an event like this again" mind you we just arrived! Not a very friendly way to welcome your guest. These two things closed down the pool to your use also not allowing you to use the amenities you pay for. Then the cherry on top of the Sunday our air conditioning unit in the cabin was broke we didn't realize this till we came back to the cabin at 9pm it was 90 + degrees in that small cabin that you pay 120$ a night for! I called the manager and we told them about it, all they had to say was sorry! Horrible customer service!

My husband and I stayed in a large cabin with our three small boys and my parents. Space was tight but the cabin was super cute and very clean. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were sufficient (not the most comfortable, but what rental property beds are). The loft would have been a perfect place for an air mattress (floor was a little hard for sleeping bags only), but we didn't think that far ahead so it served as a great luggage storage and changing area. Resort amenities were fantastic -- pool was great, playground lots of fun for the boys, and staff was VERY friendly and helpful. Not much shade, but lots of small trees so it will grow in. Location was perfect -- close enough to the highway but far enough so that there isn't any highway noise. Also nearby to Spearfish stores and restaurants, but just off the Northern Hills Scenic drive routes. Would recommend and would book it again!

Be sure to ask if there is a Wedding/Family reunion happening during your stay. We stayed in a large cabin but ended up in a large wedding group that were extremely loud for two nights. The cabin itself was perfect for our family of four with a full bathroom, room with a queen bed, room with a set of twin bunkbeds, living/dining room and small kitchen. It was nice that we were able to save some money by cooking some meals for ourselves. The pool was not open when we were there in early June, which was quite a disappointment for my kids. The queen bed in our cabin was very uncomfortable, one of us ended up sleeping on the futon couch every night. They do have laundry facilities but only have 2 small capacity washers and two dryers at each shower house. Also, there is NO change machine in the laundry area so you needed to go to the Office to get change. The place was very clean and has a huge playground for the kids to play on. They do have some room for improvement though, especially in the Office and their communication skills.

Had a wedding reception at location, so we stayed here. We had a small cabin which was super cute the only drawback was the full sized bed. It was raining when we arrived and the heat was on inside :) tv's arent much bigger than a iPad, liked having a ref in room. The web site says wifi in cabins but none was available. Would stay again and recommend

Elkhorn Ridge RV Resort was a very enjoyable stay. I think the small cabins for three people is a little too small for three people but would be perfect for two. No dresser to put your clothes so you have to keep in luggage.

Room Tip: The big cabins are spacious but the small cabins are too small for three people but nice for two. Wo...

We stayed here for part of the Sturgis rally and a few days after the rally. I had a death in the family and had to cancel at last minute. My family encouraged us to go since we already put money down do we call back and they let us come down however they would not refund our money for the 1st day we missed which I thought because of the circumstance they would waive. Other than that it was a great place to stay. One of the cleanest camp grounds we have been too. The showers were extremely nice and well kept all the employees seem to be in upbeat friendly mood. One thing we noticed was each day an employee would walk around with a bucket picking up every little tiny piece of trash! This place is also in a great location with easy to navigate sites with any size RV.
