“Remodel is Great”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

We stayed at this hotel for a basketball tournament. We have stayed at this hotel in the past and it was in dire need of a remodel. Well, the remodel is done and it is wonderful. The bathrooms, the rooms, the beds, the lobby, the entire hotel looks great and is comfortable. The continental breakfast was good and the warm cookies at night (served in the lobby) were appreciated by the team. We were originally given a room that had a sulfur/sewer smell in the bathroom. We turned the fan on and left the room and when we returned the smell was worse. We called the front desk and were immediately moved to another room nearby. Dana was the front desk clerk that helped with the move and she was wonderful. My only suggestion would be for the hotel to try to clear the parking lot of snow and ice. It was pretty packed and slippery when we were there. I know one adult and one boy slipped stepping out of cars and another boy fell completely down, due to the snow/ice packed in the parking lot. I don't believe the hotel was not notified of the falls so I am unable to say how the hotel would have handled that. All in all, we would definitely stay at this hotel again.

This review begins with a call I made to the hotel before arrival. Hillary was exceptionally nice and quickly helped with a couple of requests which were met upon arrival.Check-in was smooth with a nice desk attendant. The hotel has a new, modern decor and was clean, quiet and had a good breakfast. Highly recommend a stay at this Fairfield Inn.

Stayed here Sept. 4th, on the first night of a long road trip. A very friendly check in and an upgrade made up for a completely torn up parking lot. I liked the special recognition and goody bag provided to Marriott Reward members. The room was large, the bed comfy, and breakfast tasty. I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Sioux Falls.

The young man at the front desk made us feel very welcome. The cookies were a nice touch also. The staff was efficient and helpful. The bathroom was too small but clean. The location is behind a mall which is a little confusing. The rate was a good value. We would definitely stay again.

Very clean and updates room, lobby and breakfast area. We also used the pool the night we arrived and next day. Good location, near the freeeway but we heard no traffic noise and we were there Sturges weekend so there were plenty of cycles on the highway and in the parking lot.
Good breakfast options and we also hung out there that night with family and had a few beverages that we brought. Overall great option in Sioux Falls.

Room Tip: We had a room on the first floor near the pool but heard no noise so I don't think you can make...

This is a very hard hotel to find - glad I had a GPS. The lobby and breakfast area look like they have recently been updated. The breakfast consisted of hot and cold items and had a good variety of offerings. The room seemed very dark and was on the small side but it was clean and comfortable. I had asked for two side by side or adjoining rooms as we were a family of five and wanted everyone to have a bed to sleep in. I had received an email from the manger that this had been booked. When we arrived our rooms were at opposite ends of the hotel. The front desk clerk was unsympathetic stating that she "didn't do the room assignments." One of our rooms was two doors down from the pool. The sound from the pool continued until midnight - adults partying until it shut down. The lobby computer was so slow that I gave up trying to use it. The wi fi seemed to work OK on the cell phone? The parking lot was torn up to be repaved but it didn't create any problems. I would probably choose a different hotel if I were to visit Sioux Falls again.

Room Tip: Avoid first floor by the pool - very noisy.

I enjoyed the motel even though it was on business. I had a king room (pillows weren't very comfortable) with plenty of room - micro -refg. with a roll out desk partition for your laptop or what ever - large screen TV - plenty of channels to surf. The breakfast consisted of numerous items: waffles - 5 kinds of cold cereal - oatmeal with raisins - walnuts and brown sugar to mix too your liking. coffee little weak. had boil eggs - scramble eggs - with sausage - plenty of condiments to add to eggs - salsa - cheese. Strawberries - syrup for waffles. The staff was friendly and willing to help with your problems. Local and USA morning papers.

Room Tip: Rooms on west side face I-29 and are noisy at times.
