Okay we were in a bad mood to begin with given it was mid-April and snow and mud everywhere with temps in the 30s. That said, our room on the first floor was adequate in terms of size. Furnishings were pretty beat up. The worst thing was the heater which sounded like an airplane taking off. At 2:20 a.m. the night I got to bed late and had to get up at 6 a.m., I launched out of bed only to realize the heater had clicked on and woke me. Also annoying when more than one is staying in the room was the fact that you can't turn on the bathroom light without the (also) noisy fan. Unfortunately for us, the weekend we stayed turned out to be prom weekend. How do you spell racket? The room above us had something like 14 kids running in and out according to the very helpful front desk manager who chased most of them out after our complaint at 1-2 a.m. Sunday a.m. Breakfast -- advertised as hot -- did have make-it-yourself waffles and pre-made french toast as well as the usual cold fare. Decent, not outstanding.

Room Tip: Well... the east-facing rooms get more traffic right under the window but the west facing rooms, especially at the north end of the hotel have the gas station just across an alley, and the semi trucks park along the back of the hotel.
