“A must”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 21, 2013

The Carnaval Brazillian is a must for anyone in the Sioux Falls area, especially on a Saturday night. My wife and I and kid went there twice now. Yes, it is a bit more pricey than the 'average Midwestern fare'. They provide excellent food, a great atmosphere, and fabulous service. My wife and I continually seek a change from the 'average Midwestern fare' so prevalent in this area, and this is one place we highly recommend to everyone.

“Not worth the money”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 15, 2013

I took my fiance here for his birthday. The salad bar was great! However the meat was something to be desired. It may be an acquired taste. The bill was over $100 with tip, and we only have one drink apiece, a beer and a glass of wine. If you are going to spend the money, go somewhere else. Disappointing that I spent that much money for a salad bar. :( My fiance liked the meat, but he stated he would have rather gone somewhere else and gotten a prime rib for half the cost. The restaurant is beautiful, and the live band was really good. Just wish the meat portion of the meal was worth the money.

“Great Place, very affordable”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 19, 2013

If you love the Brazilian Steak experience, this is it. 90% as good as the high dollar venues I have been to all over the country. But at $30 or so, it's just a bargain. I have been here at least a dozen times, always good.

“Good Date”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 11, 2013

I have visited this restaurant a few times since their opening. The first time I went the meat was so salty you didn't want to even eat it. The second time was much better. I gave it an average vote because if you have been to a Brazilian Steakhouse it is about the same.

The salad bar is just ok... Several selections but nothing that wow's you. pasta salads and things of this nature but all taste like they bought them from the local grocery store.

The meat, everyone goes for the meat. Lots of selections but meat borders being too salty. Skip the shrimp/seafood upgrade on the meat menu. Shrimp is loaded with garlic and is over cooked and rubbery. Not worth the money you spend.

Service is hit and miss. Servers can be difficult to flag down when they get busy so order your drinks in advance. Usually they have a band on the weekends or some sort of live entertainment, always music. The first time I was there the band was so loud you couldn't order your food, however, the second time they had a single person playing guitar, it was great. Just enough music to enjoy it and it wasn't so loud you couldnt' have a conversation.

Overall, it is an ok place to eat for a date or something. Their wine list is about average with a few top dollar selections. Not many wines by the glass though about 2 reds and 3-4 whites of different variations.

Lack consistency with service, food, and entertainment. Not a spot I would crave to come back too.

“Delicious but pricey!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 5, 2013

Very unique dining experience! Nice concept with servers randomly coming by to offer various grilled meats/shrimp/pineapple. This is their specialty but they also offer traditional meals as well. A salad bar is included with the 'moving buffet' which is impressive in itself. Their desserts are delicious. (Their Tiramisu is exquisite!!!) The only drawback with this entire experience is it is quite pricey...but for a special treat totally worth it!
