We've stayed at about 50 B & B's and this was our best experience to date! Peregrine Point is in a fantastic location - in the woods but just a 10 to 15 minute drive into downtown Rapid City through a nice area. Wild turkeys, deer, birds and chipmunks roam the grounds. The house is really cool, contemporary with a private lodge feel. Rooms are great, we liked "Kestral" as it is on a corner and nice and bright for the sunrise. Breakfast is incredible, each day something different and like a great restaurant. One seating at 8:00 was perfect, got to visit with 8 other guests and compare notes on what to see and do that day. Decks all around both upper and lower were perfect spots for happy hour and morning visits. Just wonderful!

I knew we were in for a great stay at Peregrine Point when I made our reservations with Warren and Eileen. They were so friendly and welcoming on the phone, and I had a feeling that would extend to our stay as well. We made the mistake of listening to our GPS instead of following the direction Warren had sent us, and ended up on the wrong road. No problem - called Warren and they put us on the right road and were actually waiting for us on the front patio when we arrived. We were 8 weary, hungary travelers and the kitchen counter was full of wonderful snacks when we arrived. Cookies, nuts, salsa and chips, pretzels and fruit....and tall cold glasses of Iced tea or lemonade. Warren was even going to put up a pot of coffee is someone in our group wanted it.

They then showed us to our rooms, which were decorated with art that the innkeepers had collected on their world travels. The rooms and bathrooms were SPOTLESS, the whirlpool bath inviting, and the towels and bathrobes big and soft. The library, which is off the bedrooms and equipped with a flat screen TV, is stocked with hundreds of books and movies, each book better than the next. Off the library is a mini kitchen, with a microwave and a refrigerator stocked with complimentary bottled water for the guests and microwave popcorn. The fridge can also be used for any guest items that you need to keep chilled.

Our breakfasts were so good we asked Eileens for her recipes for her breakfast burritos and hot sticky buns! Coffee was abundant, candy dished stocked with yummy stuff, and they even packed us up with leftover sticky buns and blueberry muffins when we left for the airport!!

I think perhaps the most charming thing about Peregrine is the care and concern that Warren and Eileen extend to their guests. We were late coming home one night and Eileen was up waiting for us, worried that perhaps we were lost or had a car accident. I don't know many Inn owners who would do that, but it goes to show the kind of people they are.

Warren and Eileen run an amazing Inn, and we would stay with them again in a heartbeat. I can honestly say that we all wish we could have stayed with them for another few days, and we all look forward to the day we can visit the Peregrine Point B & B again. If you are planning a trip to Mt. Rushmore (20 minutes away) or the Badlands (70 minutes away through very scenic drive) please consider staying at this wonderful Inn.

Great B&B. Agree with previous reviewers that rooms are good with comfortable beds, nice heart shaped hot tub bath for 2. Really good hot breakfast that gets you going most of the day. Very nice hosts that make you very welcome without over powering you (they’ve traveled the world themselves). The B&B is ~1/2 mi off the road in the middle of the forest with turkeys walking around, but on the other hand it is not too far from Rapid City ~10mins from downtown and is on the west side of Rapid City making a number of Black Hills site 5 mins closer. We highly recommend getting sandwiches for lunch from the hostess (you get the sandwich and a fruit and baby carrots or something like that as well) since there are no really good lunch places around in the mountains. We made a mistake of not taking them once in 4 days there and really regretted that after lunch at local Pizza Hut. Definitely try to visit Badlands NP – really nice place with a lot of wildlife and strange looking landscape (just make sure you got on not too hot of a day).

we stayed three nights while we enjoyed the sightseeing of the Black Hills, and we absolutely loved it. The place was immaculate, and our host and hostess, Warren and Eileen, were delightful. Beautiful breakfast in serene surroundings....wild turkeys wandering the property, quiet and comfy. They put out snacks around 5:00 for the guests, and have treats available for midnight munchies if needed. Off the beaten path, but close enough to hop on the highway and zoom off for a day of fun in the Black Hills. Only about 20 minutes to Mr. Rushmore, and out of the tourist crunch. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway!

This b&b is well hidden from the stresses of daily life. It is located about a quarter of a mile off a main road in a forest. Wildlife abounds with frequent visits from wild turkeys and deer. The rooms at Peregrine Point are very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. There is a luxurious spa bath and shower in every room. We could sit in ours and look out into the forest. The innkeepers are extremely friendly and will give you some great ideas of places to visit and places to eat.
The homemade breakfasts are to die for. Plenty of fresh fruit and homemade baking.
I would strongly recommend this b&b if you are in the Rapid City area, with very reasonable rates.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this bed and breakfast. Full windows on the eastern side of our room brought the morning sunrise and all its glory. Birds and wild turkeys fed at the birdfeeder a few feet away. Wildlife grazed on the hillside, and the wind whispered through the pines. With cups of fresh hot coffee in hand, we sat on the deck outside and listed to the sounds of nature, with the hustle and bustle of city life seven miles away. Breakfast was hearty, hot, and served beautifully by the delightful innkeepers. We hiked, took photos, and relaxed for two whole days, taking in a few of the gentle sights in the area (the trainride from Hill City to Keystone and the chuckwagon supper at the Circle B ranch were our favorites), read books, played dominos and visited with the other guests. A hot jetted tub bath at night helped relax our tired muscles. We found our weekend away went too fast, and we hated to leave. The innkeepers were very hospitable and accommodating.
