Tommy, I'm very glad your brief stay with us was one to remember. Our hotel is decorated in a "lodge" style and many guests enjoy it. We shift our hot breakfast items every day from biscuits and gravy to scrambled eggs and sausage patties. We of course feature all of the other items you would expect with a complimentary breakfast and a few surprise additions as well. I'm happy you enjoyed it. All of our suites include fridges. As you mentioned your room did not, but based on a lot of feedback we are seriously considering adding them to every room. Thanks for your review and we would love to see you back when visiting the area!
I stayed here 3 nights and it was nice. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Didn't quit get the little casino, but it helped pass the time. It is central to everything in the area, but Rushmore and Crazyhorse are a little distance. The property was very clean and quiet.
Thanks for taking the time our of your day to share your "great experience" with our hotel. We train our staff members to be the best in all facets of hospitality and I'm very happy they proved it to you. Our bar/casino is made to take the stress out of a long day of travel. Yes, it's small, but I think many people enjoy being able to relax in a more intimate and quiet area. If guests prefer a more social and lively area their is a new bar within walking distance of the hotel in a clean and reputable strip plaza. Once again thanks for the review and we would love to see you again when enjoying the Black Hills area.
Will be a total of 5 nights.
Not in the middle of all attractions but a very acceptable location for day planning for the area without long travel.
Indoor Pool, hot tub, a few pieces of exercise equipment. Hot breakfast. Clean and serviced by friendly people. Enjoying the facilities and location. Quiet.
Rapid City East of here. Sturgis, Deadwood , Spearfish to the West all are must sees!
I'm very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Our location is actually very central to everything the area has to offer for a complete Black Hills vacation. As you can imagine we take great pride in offering a clean place to stay with the most amicable staff members from front desk to housekeeping. Thanks for your review and we would be pleased to have you as our guest in the future.
I used this hotel for a week. It was our jump point to go exploring in all directions. The room was clean and staff great. The hotel is 8 miles from rapid city center but when doing 75 mph on express way dosent take long to get there. There is a pizza hut an a grocery store across the street. Also There is a coffee shop a short walk south of hotel. I enjoyed my stay here.
I'm glad to hear you made the most of your stay with us in the beautiful Black Hills. As you discovered our location is central to all of the great towns and attractions the hills have to offer. We're located halfway between the "old west" town of Deadwood and the "Shrine of Democracy" Mt. Rushmore. Interstate 90 makes it easy to get to all of them. Thanks so much for your review and we would be happy to once again be your "jump" point for future stays in the Black Hills.
We paid $49.99 for two. Queen bed and very clean. Breakfast was not your usual continental but served in a cafe on sight, although we were a little late and the eggs were a little chewy. Overall, we would look for a Ramada our next trip also.
Theresa W, Thanks for taking time out of your day to let everyone know you enjoyed your stay with us. We look forward to seeing you again on a future trip to the Black Hills area.
When we picked this hotel we knew it was out of the city and we selected it for the country setting and the rustic feel. It turns out that there is not much of a country feel as it is located across the street from a gas station/market and a Pizza Hut and next to a car dealership. We found it a bit annoying having to drive everywhere to get a bite to eat when we were not getting the benefit of a country setting.
The hotel itself was in good shape and the room was spacious, although a little more basic than expected. The pool was nice and the breakfast was good each morning (alternating between biscuits/gray & eggs/sausage). The breakfast area was not large and became overwhelmed when a bus groups was eating but generally it was not busy.
One night our smoke detector started beeping every 30s. I did not want to mess with it and I did not want to disturb my family further so we lived with it until morning (at which point they fixed it).
Overall a good hotel but next time I would stay in Rapid City (or one of the attraction towns like Custer or Hill City) or in a cabin.
