We were staying in Rapid City for one night on our way to WY the next day. We were in the mood for Mexican and found a mom & pop place on Tripadvisor to go to, but they were closed when we got there (closed on Sundays) so we stopped here. Normally we avoid chains while on vacation and try to get something original while traveling & this experience reminded us why we do that. The food was just ok - not much flavor or spice and it all kind of tasted the same. I got a chicken fajita burrito that had 4 different sauces across it & all 4 sauces tasted the same and my burrito tasted identical to my husband's chimi except that his chimi was really dry. Like a typical chain, it was a cool building but the building & decor was better than the food.

Apparently, this restaurant likes to open and close when ever they want and not adhere to advertised hours. Went for dinner, doors locked and hour and a half early than posted hours. WILL NOT BE RETURNING.

After having a craving for Mexican food, a friend and I went to OTB (yes, I know it's about as Mexican as Taco Bell, but it's the closest you can get in Rapid City). Service was so slow, I know the waitress was doing her best, but there's something wrong when a side of sour cream you asked for at the beginning finally gets to your table AFTER you have finished your meal. I ordered the shrimp fajitas, with the diablo veggies, and for some strange reason there were carrots in with it! Besides the carrots, it tasted ok, even though they forgot the sauce that was supposed to go with it. The margaritas were the best part of the meal. Oh, and can someone tell the staff that cerveza isn't the Spanish word for drink!

Place was okay, it was busy so it took a long time to get our food. It was good when it finally arrived.

well, what do you expect for Mexican food so far away from Mexico..Its average. ItsTex-Mex type, but the flavors are nothing like real Mexican food. The place gets busy on the weekend & evenings and has a separate bar area away from the dining room. Family friendly & cheap prices, just don't go expecting southern style Mexican food.
