“Always beautiful”
Reviewed December 17, 2013

This FREE attraction is situated in West Rapid City and is really worth about a 1 hour (maybe 2 hour) unwinding visit. Peaceful, beautiful and really not that "touristy" - Excellent place for a couple of hours.

“often overlooked replica of a historic building in Noorway.”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

This is an exact replica of a historic Stavkirk church in Norway. Free will donation, museum with priceless exhibits, and don't overlook the evening worship every day in the summer for weary travelers.

“Hidden and peaceful”
Reviewed October 7, 2013 via mobile

Ivisited the chapel in the off season after it was closed so my review is juatof the building itself and the grounds. If the inside is anything like the outside you will not be disappointed. Its an amazing wooden Norwegian building with tons of detail in its architecture. There is no admission but the chapel stays open on donations. Check it out if your in the area and want something quick to see.

“Delightful”
Reviewed October 2, 2013

Such a find! The chapel is an accurate reproduction of the Stave Churches of Norway. The guide was very informative and it was clear that he was dedicated to the chapel. There is also a gift shop with a large variety of unique and hand crafted gifts. I can't wait to go back.
