We were a little skeptical of how this show would be, but the musicians were very talented and the audience really got into it. We also enjoyed eating off of tin plates...our son was in cowboy heaven!

Family annual stop for 99 cent all you care to eat pancakes. They aren't anything special, but it's a fun atmosphere and they're cheap. on Sunday AM there is a church service you can attend as well. Take a bit of time to walk around the little town.

We had so much fun at this site. We ate the pancake breakfast, and walked around the "town". There were lots of exhibits to see and things to do. After our tour (our bus left from and returned to this site), we explored some more before our dinner show. The food was excellent, and the show was so much fun!! Definitely something you need to do if you are in the area. Not a dull moment to the entire day!

I had a previous complaint to the Fort Hays people about the way we were treated by another tour group they stuck with us on one of their buses. When my daughter complained they sent a dear John letter back to her and the Other tour group operator e-mailed back and said Fort Hays sent them an email blaming the whole incident on US when we were the ones taking the abuse from the other tour groups escort who started the whole thing!!. If you want to go see Mount Rushmore:do it yourself unless you like having an attraction that you pay money to treat your group like dirt to satisfy another tour group from out of state. Worst vacation we have EVER had!!!!Ruined the entire stay!!! I gave them a poor review initially but changed it to TERRIBLE after their response.

This is a great small attraction and it's FREE. You can start the day there with all you can eat pancakes for 99 cents and can add sausage and biscuits for an additional charge. Everything was great. If you are traveling with kids you can't beat the price. I also saw they have a couple of lunch special for $3.99. There is a western town to walk thru with a working shop to make rope and you can help do that. They have an old sawmill and shop that makes all kinds of knives. But the BEST part of this is that three of the building were built for the movie "Dances with Wolves" starring Kevin Costner. The Headquarter building that Kevin reports to with the crazy commander is great. The room he reports to is just like the movie and there are lots of pictures on the walls of the shooting of the film. At night they have a dinner and show for $24. We were there about 90 minutes for breakfast and walking the town. I think with kids you should plan longer. Posted by grinandbrakeit.com
