My husband and I took my handicapped Mom to visit her family one last time. She was in a wheelchair and had a feeding tube. We needed to check in our room about 12:30PM, much earlier than 3pm check-in time. They got us a clean room immediately. Breakfast was good every morning. Great family hotel. Also, it was fairly quiet. Great location to the mall, restaurants and a nice walk to mini-golf. I highly recommend this Days Inn.

Very clean and comfortable room. Continental breakfast had much more food than most places...and it was delicious! We usually stay in Rapid City every other summer and we will definately be back to this hotel.

This Days Inn is very close to the Interstate and also close to the main road to Mt. Rushmore. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The counter service was friendly. The kid that checke me in says " I don't think you room is ready let me check." So I have a seat...15 minutes later he walks by "OH..dude your rooms ready. I thought you left." Not big deal..just an annoyance. The room key did'nt work and one of the maintenance guys walkin by help me out. When I opened the door....IT STUNK! Like dirty socks and someone's butt combined! The room was very clean, just stinky. I was tired and did'nt want to look for another place...won't stay there again.

We stayed here for three nights as we explored the Black Hills area. The hotel has a very nice lobby with ample seating for the typical breakfast. There is a very nice indoor pool. Everything is very well maintained, with immaculate hall carpets. Rooms themselves are nicely appointed with modern furniture. Bathrooms were modern and spotless. The door in our room sealed tightly and good insulation helped in keeping out most of the external noise. We had a window that overlooked the parking lot and we hardly noticed the vehicles as they came and went. Our air conditioner was more than adequate for our needs. The hotel offers free WIFI and the signal in our room was very strong. All in all, this is a very nice place but there were two things that bothered us. First, when we checked in, we were told we were on the second floor. "No problem", we replied. "Where is the elevator?" "We don't have one," was the response! The haul up the stairs was quite a challenge to say the least and there was no offer of assistance. We were also surpised to find that our room did not contain either a micowave or mini-fridge. No big deal under normal circumstances. However we had spent the three nights before that at hotels that were considerably lower priced and our rooms in those locations contained those amenities. For the money we paid at this hotel, we expected more. This was one of the more expensive Days Inns (even higher than the other Rapid City Days Inn) and yet compared to the others at which we stayed, it was deficient. If you don't mind stairs, and the refrigerator doesn't matter, you'll really like this hotel. It really is a lovely place....easily accessible from the highway and centrally located for all the Black Hills attractions.....Mount Rushmore, Deadwood etc. There are a lot of restaurants for all budgets close at hand and even a terrific miniature golf course just one block away. I'd like to give this facility 5 stars, but the lack of an elevator and the afore mentioned room comforts really prevents that.

Room Tip: No Elevator.......Request a FIRST FLOOR room!

My family stayed here in two separate rooms 07/23/2011. One of the rooms was a two bedroom suite and the other room was a king. The rooms were nice, but not outstanding and they did not have a fresh smell to them. The pullout sleeper couch in the suite was broke; so, it could only be used as a couch and not a bed. The beds themselves though were very comfortable.

The indoor pool was not heated and was quite chilly. The hot tub was not hot; it was more like bath water. Very disappointing after spending a day on the road.

The staff though was excellent and very friendly. We arrived early and we did appreciate their willingness to get our rooms ready as quickly as possible. The only draw back on their service was that after one room was done, we all hung out in that room and they were going to call us when the other room was ready, but never did call. Around 6pm, I went and checked on the other room and sure enough, it was ready, but no one let us know.

The hotel was really just average; however, they charged the rate of a higher standard hotel. Next time when I am in Rapid City, I will try a different hotel as it was not worth the rate we paid (and that was even with pre-pay discount on one room and AAA on the other room).

This was a very nice kept Inn with very pleasant staff. The rooms and common areas were very clean and well kept. This Inn is very close to shopping and dining well within walking distance.

Hotel is convenient to the Interstate and just minutes from Downtown. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The front desk staff, especially Andy, was right on target with restaurant recommendations and local insight. The breakfast, that was included with the room, had plenty of options. Much more than I expected.

This hotel was a great find because they have some rooms were they allow pets. Since we had two dogs and two large pet beds, it was great that this room had some extra floor space. There was room for the pet beds and luggage while still providing space to move around the room. Special bonus, there was a great grassy place to walk the dogs and stretch your legs right next to the hotel.
